"Spanish PM suspends Eta dialogue"
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Spain's prime minister has said he is suspending all moves towards dialogue with Basque separatist group Eta after a car bomb attack at a Madrid airport.
At least 19 people were injured and two are missing after the blast in the car park of Barajas Airport.
Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero said this was the rebels' worst mistake but did not announce ending the peace process.
A spokesman for the group said peace talks were needed more than ever. Eta called a ceasefire nine months ago.
'Incompatible'
The blast brought several floors of the multi-storey car park at Madrid's international airport crashing down on top of each other and left vehicles covered with rubble and glass.
Several floors of the multi-storey car park collapsed
Officials said the armed separatist group, Eta, had made a call to claim the attack."
A bomb planted on a minibus killed 31 people in a fish market in a mostly Shiite town south of Baghdad on Saturday, and the man blamed for parking the vehicle was cornered and killed by a mob as he walked away from the explosion.

Troops destroy rebel bases
Saturday, December 30, 2006
QUETTA: Pakistani troops backed by military helicopters on Friday dismantled several rebel bases in Balochistan, AP quoted security officials as saying. At least eight helicopters took part in an operation against rebel tribesmen in Zain Koh near Dera Bugti, said a security official. The helicopters achieved their target by destroying the positions of miscreants, the official told AFP.
He said the tribal militants had been active in the area in recent months. He said that it was an early morning operation and we have no information about any casualties.
A purported spokesman for the militants said the tribesmen suffered no casualties. Calling reporters from an undisclosed location, he claimed that one helicopter fell during the raid and a dozen people were believed killed, but security officials rejected the claim. In another incident on Friday, police arrested a tribal militant wanted over bomb blasts, and killed his accomplice on the outskirts of Quetta, said a senior police official.
Daily Times Monitor adds: Unidentified assailants threw two hand grenades into the joint servant quarters of the Saddar police station and Quetta District Jail, but there were no casualties, reported Aaj TV.

Saudi cleric labels Shias infidels
Saturday, December 30, 2006
DUBAI: An influential cleric of Saudi Arabias hardline Sunni school of Islam has denounced Shia Muslims as infidels in a new religious edict that comes amid rising sectarian tension in the region.
The rejectionists (Shias) in their entirety are the worst of the Islamic nations sects. They bear all the characteristics of infidels, Sheikh Abdel-Rahman al-Barrak said in the fatwa, or ruling, distributed on Islamist websites. They are in truth polytheist infidels, though they hide this, the fatwa said, citing theological differences 14 centuries after the death of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), such as reverence of shrines which followers of Saudi Arabias Wahhabi school consider abhorrent.

Treacherous enemy sowing discord among Muslims: Khamenei
Saturday, December 30, 2006
TEHRAN: Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has told pilgrims on the annual Hajj to Mecca that those who sow discord among Muslims are mercenaries of the treacherous enemy, Iranian media reported Friday.
Those with a grudge call some Muslim groups infidels... to please the US and the Zionists they speak of the dangers of a Shiite crescent, and they kill people to destabilise the popular Iraqi government, he was quoted as saying in his message marking this years pilgrimage.

"Many Somalis in Oslo support jihadists"
SNIPPET: "Tiny Minority of Extremists Update. "Islamist support from Oslo," from Aftenposten:
"If the Ethiopians continue to occupy Somalia, we won't sit here. We will go back to Somalia and fight as one!" says Zakharia Ahmed, banging his fist on the table.
The scene is the Café Bolsho in Oslo's downtown immigrant district Grønland. Dozens of compatriots are gathered round in the noisy café, and Ahmed clearly has full support. "Yes, we will go back and fight," the others shout.
Aftenposten has chosen this Somali café at random. The conversation is animated, takes place in Somali, English and Norwegian, and here there is total agreement."
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Gedi also was cited as saying significant sums of money were being transferred to the Islamists via Norway."
Mogadishu: Ethiopian tanks rumbled south from Mogadishu to attack Somali Islamists yesterday after the religious movement's leaders called on fighters and residents in the port city of Kismayo to cast off a foreign "occupation".
Shaikh Sharif Ahmad, whose forces fled the Somali capital on Thursday, urged thousands of people gathered at a Kismayo stadium for Eid Al Adha to defend their nation and faith from Somali government troops backed by armour, soldiers and jet fighter planes from mostly Christian Ethiopia.
"Our country is under occupation so we have decided to fight," he told the crowd as Islamist troops on trucks mounted with anti-aircraft guns stood guard outside.

Pilgrims begin ritual of stoning the devil
December 31, 2006
Mina: More than two million Muslim pilgrims began the symbolic stoning of the devil yesterday, that puts to test new safety measures at a stage of the Haj that has seen tragedy in the past.
But the rites were overshadowed by the news that former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussain, a hero to many Sunni Arabs because of his anti-US stance, had been executed at dawn by the US-backed Shiite government.
Security fears were already high during this Haj season because of sectarian strife between Sunni and Shiite Muslims in Iraq and elsewhere in the region.
Many Sunni Arabs were angered by the news but some Iraqi pilgrims were celebrating both Saddam's death and the Eid Al Adha, or Feast of Sacrifice, that began yesterday. "Congratulations, this is like two Eids! I hope God will not have mercy on him," said Iraqi pilgrim Nadir Abdullah.
The stoning ritual at the Jamarat Bridge - when pilgrims symbolically cast out the devil - begins on Eid Al Adha, the third day of the gruelling 5-day Haj which is a duty for all able-bodied Muslims who can afford it. With such large crowds, Saudi Arabia deploys more than 50,000 security men to try to avoid deadly stampedes, as well as attacks by extremists.
The authorities are also worried over political protests which security forces have broken up by force in the past. "The Haj rites are not the place for slogans, postures and name-calling," top Saudi cleric Shaikh Abdul Aziz Al Al Shaikh warned in a sermon at Mount Arafat on Friday.

By Sher Zieve British Muslims are refusing to wash their hands with required anti-bacterial disinfectant gels. The Muslims are protesting the practice on religious grounds, as the gels contain alcohol.
Anti-bacterial gels are used in hospitals to guard against superbugs, including Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) and Periventricular Leukomalacia (PVL). British healthcare workers said they were shocked to discover the practice of Muslims refusing to disinfect their hands before entering patient rooms.
NHS care assistant Theresa Poupa at London Chest Hospital said: I could not believe it. The signs are large enough and clear enough but they [Muslim workers] just took no notice and walked straight onto the ward! I was there almost every day for three weeks and I saw it repeated dozens and dozens of times. When I raised the matter with the nursing staff they just shrugged and said that Muslims were refusing to use the gel because it contained alcohol.

Hezbollah Reaching Pre-War Force
December 30, 2006
Hezbollah in Lebanon is reported to be close to its pre-war with Israel strength. The terrorist group is also reported to be receiving consistent shipments of traditional and advanced weapons from Syria.
Although United Nations troops are currently in Lebanon, the Syrian-transferred weapons have been unconcealed. Regular truckloads of armaments are said to be crossing the Syrian-Lebanon border. Often, this has been on a daily basis.
An Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) officer commented: "Hezbollah needs to legitimize its existence, and therefore will continue to fight. He said that it is only a matter of time before the hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah resume and added: "If the Lebanese government does not implement the [UN] resolution then we are most probably on our way to another round with Hizbullah.
Olmert is SUCH a fool.
The Islamofascists will try for a war on all 4 fronts around Israel.Simultaneous attack from the 4 cardinal directions, and they might JUST be able to pull it off.
