Investors fled SCO Groups stock on Friday, voting with their feet after a federal judge gutted its lawsuit against IBM.
In mid-morning trading, SCO Group (nasdaq: SCOX - news - people ) traded at $1.36, down 64 cents, or 32%.
[snip]
On Thursday, the judge said SCO Group had provided no evidence to support its claim that IBM (nyse: IBM - news - people ) took code from Unix, which SCO claims to have some copyrights, and added it to Linux.
Read the rest here.
Nope, but you claimed he was, for months, in your defense of other actual Russian hackers.
The apology you owe is over calling me a liar for saying Planned Parenthood runs Windows
Your own chosen source Netcraft showed them running Linux, just like Howard Dean and the DNC. Take it up with Netcraft, or quit citing them as a source.
You know the drill...
ROFLMAO...
that's gonna leave a mark.
So, is this code checked into CVS yet? Sourceforge?
I had to dust off some mental cobwebs to be sure.
Dude, antiRepublicrat didn't once claim Fyodor was a Russian. In fact, I remember several mentions of Fyodor's American citizenship and even his real name.
Iggle, just stop already...
Well, some of us are on severley limited budgets right now, and free is attractive. Then there's the fact that some of us don't like the idea that, to some (ahem.. M$), our computers and data belong to them, and in order for our legally purchased software to run, it has to phone home and send all sorts of information back to HQ before permission is granted to run.
Oh and never mind that a growing number of us like to build our own systems, and sometimes make wholsale changes to the hardware configurations resulting in another phone back to HQ to get permission to run again. And I hear Vi$ta will be even more re$trictive in that regard.
So no thanks. It's called a free market, and if someone can come up with as good or better mousetrap, for lower cost (or free), then he gets the business.
Rant and rave all you want, but your master's business model has forced this issue and it ISN'T going away. Get over it!
Actually, I beleive he is a US citizen now. Didn't even steal across the border illegally, went through all the hoops.
Exposing your ignorance. You fell for it, sad for you.
Your own chosen source Netcraft
Netcraft is a very common source and for the most part fairly reliable, but even Netcraft admits it can be wrong due to various factors. I normally don't use Netcraft to check a site's current server, but it's easier reference to Netcraft (although I didn't this time, you did, so quit complaining) than to post the easily-faked evidence from when I check.
I queried the server and used other obvious means to see what PP was running (as anyone with decent computer knowledge should be able to do) and found they run Windows. You said I lied when I told you this, and I backed-up my claim. If you have half the computer knowledge you claim, you should have been able to verify. You never retracted your claim I was lying; thus, you are still guilty of libel, and are probably incompetent due to your inability to research it yourself.
Take it up with Netcraft, or quit citing them as a source.
You're the one who has a problem with them, so you take it up with them. Everybody else knows that Netcraft is quite good, but not perfectly reliable. Even a direct http query (what I do initially) isn't perfectly reliable, as a server can be configured to send incorrect headers. Further looking showed they run ASP pages, but that can also be wrong by the server running ChiliSoft on Linux or by the admin configuring PHP to use the .asp extension (purposely deceptive, but possible). However, all of that evidence together pointing to Windows pretty much cinches it unless someone else has evidence to the contrary.
But what sealed the case was the HTML of their pages showing they run the Windows-only RedDot content management system.
just like Howard Dean and the DNC.
We know they run Linux, just like Free Republic, the CATO Institute, the Eagle Forum, Rush Limbaugh, Hannity, the Library of Congress and the White House. Meanwhile, the US Marxist-Leninist Organization is running on Solaris and Planned Parenthood on Windows.
In case you were wondering, the point is that an OS is in itself politically irrelevant, despite the attempts of you and your buddy Howard Dean to make it relevant.
Actually I did. Well, not directly. GE was ranting about "Russian hackers" and I mentioned a certain security tool and said it was written by a Russian in order to 1) tweak his paranoia of Russians, and 2) see if he had even half the computer security knowledge he claimed. I'd have had no problem if GE had written "The tool is nmap and Fyodor isn't Russian!" Unfortunately, GE isn't quite as knowledgeable as he claims.
Yer killin' me.
Let's see how long before I become a target of Iggle...
Hey look, it's Mike the Jim Rome Clone! Here's one for ya!
http://youtube.com/watch?v=_cqcLdz5llo
Oh yes he did. For months. He's now had to admit he lied, on purpose, all in his defense of other, actual Russian hackers, who were performing illegal duplication and distribution of Apple software. Not that you would be any different.
54 minutes...Iggle must have been drinking.
He'll only comment to you when he thinks you won't respond to him.
He's a keyboard commando, that's about it. That is, when he's not polishing knobs at the Gates mansion.
