This is absolutely hillarious!
The Young Conservatives of Texas - University of Texas Chapter announced today that they will be displaying an ACLU Nativity Scene on the West Mall of the University of Texas campus on Monday and Tuesday, December 4th and 5th. The groups intent is to raise awareness on the extremity of the ACLU, and bring to light its secular-progressive efforts to remove Christmas from the public sphere. The display, the first of its kind in the nation, will feature characters that are quite a bit different than the standard crèche.
Weve got Gary and Joseph instead of Mary and Joseph in order to symbolize ACLU support for homosexual marriage, and of course there isnt a Jesus in the manger, said Chairman Tony McDonald. The three Wise Men are Lenin, Marx, and Stalin because the founders of the ACLU were strident supporters of Soviet style Communism. The whole scene is a tongue-in-cheek way of showing the many ways that the ACLU and the far left are out of touch with the values of mainstream America.
The scene will also display a terrorist shepherd and an angel in the form of Nancy Pelosi.

Agree. I gave up recently on: 'the 9 mm is a military caliber' line-of-thought, and bought a .45.

I emailed the article to one of the girls mother. I hope she can find out if her daughter is in this group. She may let me know later, IF she checks her email today.

It might be a little sickening, but shouldn't they replace the Shepherds with an abortionist and his assistant?

A better choice would be Azrael . . .

No baby - just fetal tissue. A bag labelled "medical waste" laying in the manger should work.

Yeah.
And the ACLU's bag is very properly labelled "infectious waste" isn't it.

That's really a shame.
Conservatism's greatest weakness is that it is intellectually, not emotionally, based. Thus it takes reason, logic, and the citation of history and facts and figures to make a point. It is twice as difficult to make and have accepted a conservative point as it is a liberal point, which requires merely an appeal to the emotions. Thus conservatives tend to come across as cold and unfeeling and have difficulty making a succinct point in today's soundbite media, whereas liberals can utter a feeling-based untruth in a couple of seconds and have it resonate throughout the populace (e.g., tax cuts for the rich hurt the poor).
The wit these young conservatives utilize one technique that combines both reason and the emotion and thus appeals to both conservatives and liberal: humor. This is one reason why Rush L. has been so successful.
For the Republican party to ostracize a group of people for using satire, they are cutting off their nose to spite their face and eliminating one of the very few tools they have to promote conservative. But then again, I'd suspect that those Republicans that are doing the ostracizing you mention are RINOs and not conservatives.

That's a close guess. They'd both be at TAMU, but one of the girls parents are UT exs. The other is going into the nursing field and wants to be closer to home for now. She visited A&M last week after the UT loss and stayed with my daughter. They have been friends since middle school and one football game means nothing to their friendship.

Excuse me, isn't the University of Texas in the Peoples Republic of Austin?
How long before this very funny exhibit meets a less than funny fate at the hands of administrators or other students?

LOL, a sign like that should be placed anywhere a nativity scene has been censored by the ACLU.

Hmmm, they should place a placard where the baby should be stating that there would be a baby there, but it had to be aborted in order to be in compliance with the ACLU's vision for America. That, or have testtubes of embryonic stem cells in it's place.
Wonder if we could get a message to them to add it?
Bstein80 would probably have a contact there.
