Of course, most people on FR don't know how to draw a trend line much less interpret it.

My convictions are obvious.

Conviction #1: You don't know squat about economics.

Conviction #2: Goldbuggery is inherently fraudulent.

Conviction #3: You are a goldbug.

Conviction #4: You are too stupid to have recognized #1-#3, despite constant repetition.

You have no concept of the definition of "hyperinflation." You do injury to the language by your misuse of the term.

You still haven't made a point, Pedro. All you ever do is insult people who you disagree with, but you never offer a cogent counterargument of your own. So most people you cross paths never really know why you are insulting them. You don't offer charts, links to articles, nor do you engage in your own analysis. That makes you a one trick pony, Pedro.

You still haven't made a point, Pedro.

None that you understand. And the next 100 times I make a point, you'll be equally oblivious. It's a statistically valid conclusion.

I would be curious to read the articles from the "credible" governmental and nongovernmental sources you are referencing. Any links? At any rate, here is a chart showing how the Clinton/Greenspan changes affect the CPI:

There are tons of articles out there on the subject. Here is one a simple one to get the ball rolling:

Here's your chance to make a point (and back it up), Pedro.

"Shadow Government Stats" and "shadowstats.com" are not credible.

The ENTIRE BOND MARKET is.

You bring to this forum the equivalent of a Lyndon LaRouche pamphlet and you expect point-by-point refutation. I don't argue with drug-addled homeless men in the subway, I don't argue with BDS leftists and I don't argue with goldbugs. You have your own set of facts and your own reality and it is not my concern.

I am only here to put the day-glo orange pylons around your BS so the naive don't fall for it.

Oh, and for laughs too. I love to laugh at goldbugs' absurdist, Flinstonian expression of economics.

Yes, as your chart shows as a matter of the integer being the correct sign in this case, the CPI exaggerated inflation, and was changed, although your chart is clearly errant, since the changes changed the index going forward by about 50 basis points, that 300 or more.

Poor Gigi.

Is there a literacy charity I could assist that would help your plight? Let me know.

that 300 or more = rather than yours, that shows the CPI exaggeraged inflation by 300 basis points or more.

FYI, Gigi, a basis point is 1/100th of 1 percent. One hundred basis points is 1%, and ten thousand basis points is 100%.
