TREASON
I've said for a bit - I think that something is up.
There's a great deal of domestic pressure building up in Iraq. The best way to deal with it, is to let the Shiites have at the Sunnis for a bit, until they tire themselves out. Then take down the Madhi Army.
I'm thinking "the Pentagon" isn't in "Anbar"
I did a strategic shift and threw my back out..
Pull out before we level the whole damned place.
Pinging for second sources...
ABC doesn't know its ass from a hole in the ground.
Lets not panic here folks. Notice the report said CONSIDERING.
This may tie in with that report we said about shifting out of major areas.
I think we need to wait and see how it shakes out. Would be nice if there was second sourcing.
Direct link to the ABC tale.
Note the uses of the term 'unwinnable' in the 'article' (Al-Jizz propaganda, all neat and prepackaged for them by ABC)

Let the enemy consolidate and take up actual positions, trying to control the area, then go in and take them out. Enough of this one here, one there stuff.
Note to ABC. Making an option part of a decision matrix does not necessarily make it a serious consideration.
If they are doing their job this should be an eternal assessment.
Wonder what else they are considering?
Haven't we been reading articles the last few weeks about how peaceful Al-Anbar province is, and how the Sunni's are kicking out the foreign fighters? Seems to make sense to reduce the footprint there.
Troop movements at 11:00.
I wouldn't believe anything ABC has to say....remember the blather mess, these people aren't any better than blather himself....
If they want something so bad, they'll make it up just to be able to print it....
AL-ANBAR
That includes the cities of Ramadi and Fallujah.
Might be a good test to let people know what will happen.
Pull out of one small area, see what happens.
At least we will know whether all out civil war will happen and whether the Islamists can actually take over or not.
Maybe the point is for the US to pull out and Iraqi forces to try to hold the ground. Would be another good test of what will happen.
MOAB
--I'm sure there are plans for all sorts of stuff. That way they don't get caught off guard if they ever need it.--
Exactly. The Pentagon has also CONSIDERED responding to a Russian ICBM nuclear strike with massive retaliation ... that's their job.
There are contingencies for just about any threat, as unlikely as it may be. Otherwise, the CIC wouldn't be followed everywhere by the aide carrying the "football".
