New facts about CIA secret prisons in Poland
28.11.2006
Todays issue of the popular daily Gazeta Wyborcza brings new information about the CIA prisons in Poland.
According to the daily American Gulfstream jet airplane allegedly carrying prisoners landed at least seven times in Poland in 2003. Four of such flights were from Afghanistan were al Quaida prisoners were initially kept. The plane would then take off for Uzbekistan or Morocco where local law does not prohibit the use of tortures.
There are still no proofs that CIA prisons existed in Poland. According to Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International over 150 prisoners accused of contacts with al Quaida and other terrorist organizations are still under arrest in secret CIA prisons. In the autumn of 2005 Poland and Romania were indicated as possible locations of such prisons.
Polan = Poland in Polish?
No, it's typo mistake :-(
Take it with a grain of salt.
The only conclusion that you can draw from this 'story' is that there are those who want to defeat al Queda, and those who want al Queda to flourish.
Who translated this thing, Borat?
lol
I get it. The Pelosi-crats are upset about the lack of in-flight peanut snacks.
New Facts = allegedly + no proofs?
I believe that I read in Proceedings that Gen Jones (Commander European Command and head of NATO) travels in a similar plane.
His Area of Responsibility includes all of Europe and Africa.
His first year in office he spent less than 70 days AT the office, due to travels visiting the countries in his AOR.
