I've been covering things this afternoon as we expect a little snow and zero temperature this evening. I've spent several winters in your area and it never snowed.
Thanks for emailing the photos are the children near you playing snowball or making a snowman?
Thanks for the pic. The people who get to ride in the crane (adults and children alike) always look like it's a great treat.
I know what you mean, and have seen it. I don't have a lot of table space, however, and wa hoping I could figure out how to do it in a wall mount. Maybe I will make a photo copy of the picture and mount it along with the other pieces.
I like the way the basket carrying them is decorated like a parcel with a bow on it. :0)
From the article
A Great Honor for Washington State
Washington State has been given this year's honor of providing the Christmas Tree that will stand in front of the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington D.C.
The tree tree is a majestic, 65-foot tall Pacific Silver Fir and will be decorated with 10,000 lights and 3,000 ornaments handmade by schoolchildren from across Washington State. The highlight of the Capitol's Christmas season will be a simple, but dramatic lighting ceremony, in which the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives will light the spectacular tree, continuing a tradition begun in 1964.
Thanks again, snugs!
I never noticed the bow before. I just liked the crane. :-)
And thanks for posting the info about the tree. This is going to be a good one. 65'???
I wonder how they decided which girl to name which name?
I'll bet Jenna's personality came through quickly, so maybe they did the opposite naming thing to try to impose good behavior on her. :)
Guess we were wrong??

Double the prayers this week as the President travels too near hostile territory .
I think they were just clueless. :-) Newborns often have characteristics you can trace to a family member, but then, often it's just wishful thinking.
That picture could be a Christmas card if it was Santa instead of Abdullah. What a beautiful setting.
That is beautiful. I probably won't get one...I don't think I sent any money this year.
The tree from Washington will be the Capitol Hill Christmas Tree.
The evergreen on the Ellipse will be decorated as well, and the light switch will be thrown during the Pageant of Peace. (During last year's Pageant, President Bush gave the First Lady a backside pat that made the girls behind them laugh.)
Speaking of reading, Amazon is pushing Aldrich's book right now for some reason. (They sent me an e-mail advertising it - maybe because I've bought other conservative books). It is really old, but it was a fascinating read if you all haven't read it and want to re-live the bad old years. It's called Unlimited Access.
