But he wasn't armed!!!! Even though he tried to run down an officer that was showing his badge.
last time I checked a 4000 pound rolling piece of metal is considered a deadly weapon when used as a weapon....
I believe he was armed. His vehicle became a deadly weapon when he used it to run over the police. The perp was using deadly force just as if he had he been using a pick ax instead of the car to attack the police.
A car is a weapon and what he had sitting in the seat next to him was unknown.
So what if he had a badge? Anyone could have a badge.

When a person's in control of something that can kill a person, they're "armed". You're right - a car will kill just as surely as a gun...he was armed.
But he wasn't armed!!!! Even though he tried to run down an officer that was showing his badge.

sounds like he was armed with a 2000 pound vehicle and attempting murder.
The net is, if you use deadly force, the police are fully justified in using deadly force to stop you, period.
Automobiles are considered a weapon when used to purposely run down or to threaten to run down someone.
Looks like you're at the bottom of the pile on this one!
Oh hell! I know it is so easy to see that the object dangling from a chain around the neck of someone, who appears otherwise no different from the bar crowd,is a badge.
Cops' bad judgment runs through the whole situation.
TV ands movies are not meant to be training films.
You're trying to leave a bar after someone has confronted you and a "maniac" jumps on your car hood screaming...you would do WHAT?
