THEY are the unheard comments which have intrigued the world for decades the hidden musings of a madman.
Silent home movies of Adolf Hitler casually chatting to his lover Eva Braun have consistently fascinated and frustrated historians.
For 60 years they have been desperate to decipher exactly what historys most notorious figure is saying.
Now they know.
Computer technology has been developed that can lip-read people who have been filmed at almost any angle.
The breakthrough means the dictators statements can finally be revealed word for word.
In a bizarre, calculated manner, Hitler can be seen chatting to his girlfriend about the same things that couples talk about today.
I understand you didnt like the movie last night, he says, grinning. I know what you want. You want Gone With The Wind.
If you did not know who was saying them, the words would be unremarkable boring even.
But the fact that this is the man who waged war across the world and tortured and killed six million Jews gives his mundane, cosy chats with Eva a chilling dimension.
You talk about a dress that doesnt fit . . . imagine my problems.

I wonder too. I often wondered what people think 10 seconds after they realize they are in hell also.
Does the soul of that person express profound regret? Or do they simply concentrate on their own suffering and terror and lament that?
It is something I cannot fathom.
To those who spoke of the banality of evil here, I think that was quite profound and correct also. I read a book about some people who were in close contact with evil - and they didn't really realize how used to it they had become until they got away from it.
Closer to 10 to 11 million. About 5 million Jews, about 5 million non-Jews per the most reliable sources.
but he was a rank amateur compared to Stalin

Roma were the only other population besides the Jews who were targeted for extermination on racial grounds in the Final Solution. Determining the percentage or number of Roma who died in the Holocaust is not easy. Much of the Nazi documentation still remains to be analyzed, and many murders were not recorded, since they took place in the fields and forests where Roma were apprehended.
This does not diminish in any way what Hitler did to the Jews, but we should know that many Romany fought and died in both World Wars to defeat Germany.
"Eva, when will you...shower me with affection." According to the OSS, a golden moment..
Cue the tin-foil-hat conspiracy-theorists, with the supposition that there is a conspiracy to make sure that Hitler's speeches never get translated into English, for precisely the reason that they would sound like modern leftist speeches.
Wait... actually, that's not such a far-fetched theory.
"we save most of europe from hitler and then handed it over to stalin."
maybe that's why stalin always wore that smirk in those photos at yalta...and just about everywhere else.
seems like the same smirk being worn by many liberals in congress.....not to mention the ones that one meets in everyday life.

That's easy. They think of nothing. There is no Heaven, Hell, Hades, Happy Hunting Grounds, nothing. Can the human mind truly comprehend the finality of death, eyes forever staring as the darkness stills your breath.
Good luck to you.
