I was living in Europe during the hey-day of soccer hooliganism. It still lurks under the surface in the UK, France and Italy. All they need to go berserk is an acceptable target. At which point gangs of skin-heads will descend on the muslim quarters with knives, baseball bats and an attitude...

The people in France couldn't fight their way out of a wet paper bag.
What could we do about it anyway? Invade all of Europe with five million troops that we don't have, and make them patrol every day, getting shot at and blown up by IEDs?
Think Baghdad, except multiply it by the number of cities in Europe. Not to mention the fact that the Euros would be sniping at our troops too.
If Europe falls to Islam, let Europe suffer the consequences. None of our business.

I agree. The PC Europe of today is not the confident Europe of yesteryear. Those societies had lots of young people, ambition, faith in their culture, and (this is most important) the conviction that they G-d was on their side. Now, none of those conditions exist. Too many Europeans have been psychologically disarmed by utopian socialism, athesism, and political correctness. People both here and in Europe care more about being labeled racist than they do about their own survival. Falling birth rates among ethnic Euros don't help either.
That's not to say that their won't be a significant backlash at some point. But I predict it will be a last gasp of the frog that realizes it has been cooked.
He's wrong. In the past a nationalistic ferver might have ignited the backlash he predicts. The group think of the EU will assure this can't happen now. I fear they may die without a whimper.

Well, it could happen. I bet by now almost everyone over there is realizing these Welfare Kings are nothing but trouble.
Oh, absolutely. But the European governments will not allow anything to be done. The governments will intervene on the side of the muslims.
If 'we' are over-reacting, how come so many people in different European countries all think the same?

I hope he is right....While he is right because Europeans diffently won't live under Sharia law. Even France with its very liberal view over the years has enough history and human captial to expell the unruly Muslims if the muslims want "equal rights". I have no pity for people that don't want to give up their bankrupt culture to adopt a sound peaceful, viable, moderate, and modern culture.
Let the Muslims learn the lesson.

Oh AND...don't forget that every time one of our guys shot a muslim attacker in self-defense he'd be investigated by the brass, castigated in the media, and possibly sent to prison.
No, we need to stay out of Europe's affairs and let them solve their own problems.
