I've heard Charles Rangel push his "bring back the draft" idea for way over a year. Who's he kidding, and why don't reporters challenge his motivation? Rangel is anti-Bush, and anti Iraq war. The only reason he's calling for the draft is to push forward the notion, 1. Bush's war, and republican wars like it, cannot be sustained without a draft. Bush and republicans are wrong, wrong, wrong, and reckless to start wars. Bad, bad Bush, bad, bad Bush!

In order to denigrate and discredit Bush, Rangel is willing to call for the draft. He knows it will never pass, he knows it won't hurt him or the democrats who have to step forward to downplay it. Rangel doesn't want the draft, he just wants to use this issue as a bank shot attack on Bush's legacy.

Am I right that last time he did not even vote for his own bill or was that someones re the draft?
