I've said many a time, but will repeat it for you two:
I'm going to vote Republican for the rest of my life, because as soon as I'm dead, I'll always be voting Democrat.
Thank you, thank you very much! I'm here all week. Have you tried the veal? It's fantastic!

Did you even read the kristinn thread that has been going since Friday night??
I was just pinged to another one ...and it is more of the same.
Like I posted over there...it seems that since the election...a LOT of freepers have decided to get their talking points from the MSM (dems).
FLEEpers...bah!

From what I recall Rummy tendered his resignation several times before, the timing may have been suspect but it shouldn't be a shocking thing that he is out.
I see our loss more as an msm/dbm win.
After 6 years of demagoguing our President they finally got enough undecided, independents and a few mad conservatives to defect over to the rats. Some victory.
Remember their nonexistent party platform, how do you win an election without standing for anything, I don't look for it to happen again.

Good point! I'll confess, I usually don't watch the shows anymore, because I'm too busy following the thread. I hope that those who did will chime in and tell us what they heard!

Great post here Morgan!
A free Iraq is worth the fight.
To measure how long battles last in an area where fighting has gone on for hundreds of years is sheer folly.
The stakes are high we need to be there for the duration.

Sorry, I didn't see Kristen's thread.
To: Txsleuth
I actually count on the thread rather than watching the shows. FTN is on during the second half of MTP here, and the first half of ABCTW is on during the second half of FNS, while CNNLE is completely blocked out by MTP and FNS. I usually put on MTP and listen (half heartedly) while I read the thread, then switch over to FNS. Most often during the football season I skip the second half of ABCTW as it's always the same crap from Will and company. BORING!
I do, however, agree that we're not getting the coverage of the other shows to the same extent. We had talked about posting the transcripts as their own thread, but it looks like there are copyright restrictions on doing that. But as they get posted we ought to post the links to the transcripts or podcast/downloadable MP3, etc., of the shows.
Here's a start:
Fox News Sunday
ABC This Week
NBC Meet The Press (After 1pm ET each Sunday)
I'll post more as I see them

I simply cannot understand how supposedly Conservative Americans think they are "helping" when they are actively aiding the propaganda efforts of our enemies by spend all their time screaming about the actions of 20-30,000 Militants while totally ignoring what the other 24,970,000 Iraqis as well as the efforts of out troops.
I am simply stunned by the sheer arrogance of various supposedly "Conservative" media types who are more interested in self validation and being "proved right by events in Iraq" then in helping this nation win a war. I expect this sort of stupid behavior from the Left, I expect better of Conservatives.
Some where LBJ is laughing his butt off watching a bunch of ignorant arrogant posturing clowns in DC, cheered on by their toadies in the Junk Media, trying to repeat every single mistake he made trying to micro mismanage Vietnam from DC.

No, don't. That thread is a meat grinder. At least one guy was banned, and a bunch of pro versus anti posters are sniping, bomb throwing, and plain out assaulting frontally.

What did come up however is Hastings' vow to use the subpoena power he would get, vengefully and often, if botox nancy gives him the nod as intel head.
Just shows what we are in for with the rats now firmly in control of congress. It will be one subpoena after another after another until they get enough talking points for the wapost/nyt cabal in 08. This sounds a lot like what Dingel said on FNS in response to a Chris Wallace question on investigations:
WALLACE: Congressman Dingell, you say you want more oversight of the Bush administration. Do you have any specific investigations in mind?
DINGELL: Well, investigating things and happenings, not people.
All right, let's take a look. Medicare Part D. There are lots and lots and lots of scandals. Investigation of the situations over in Iraq and wastages of public moneys, Halliburton and things of that kind. The Cheney task force on energy, which was carefully cooked to provide only participation by oil companies and energy companies, as opposed to the general public at large, and which information was not made available to the people.
The thing is, the more fools like Dingell talk the more buyers remorse the voters will feel. I hope they don't wise up.

#282, There are a few schools of thought on Hastings getting this Promotion. technically he should not have even been allowed on this Committee because he could not even pass the minimal scrutiny that an Employee of the Federal Government is given let alone the Intelligence Committee. That being said a few others are: 1. He was impeached by the Democrat Majority House of Representatives, for Bribery which he was not convicted of,but his partner in crime was. It was obvious that he lied his butt off in Court and (to anyone that questioned him) he was convicted by all but three of The US House members including Pelosi and Murtha and even other Black Caucus members that were in office then. He was so tainted, dishonest and crooked, they threw him out. 2. He then took his crooked behavior and ran for the US House Seat Gerrymandered for a black Candidate, and typical of the Looney Tunes, crooked atmosphere in Broward, he was elected. 3. He is so tainted by his horribly bad, unethical behavior that he cannot pay off millions in debt, possibly because nobody in their most retarded moment would touch this radioactive guy for a bribe because everyone will be looking for him to take another bribe. 4. He is just waiting for this promotion to start raking in the money, and because he is Black and even though he is crooked, Jefferson was caught with frozen Assets of $100,000 and was not bounced from the House by Pelosi, therefore Pelosi is afraid of the Seriously Communistic leaning CBC. I say that a combination of all those points will prevail in the eventual thinking. Nancy will need lots more of Botox and Plastic Surgery in the next three months. I would hate to be her Plastic Surgeon, there is only so much skin to work with, and Michael Jackson's parts keep falling off. Ruh Roh, lookout Nancy that maybe your eyebrow in your Onion Soup.
