The Administration should resist these congressional committees tooth-and-nail. They are not about the national interest, but the raw self-interest of the Democratic party. They are not legitimate legislators, but bullies and thugs who have no problem aiding the enemy, since the enemy they care about is the Republican party. I'd love to see an unsuccessful impeachment attempt that tears the Democratic party apart and shows most of them for what they are.
This is why I will never serve ever again. Let Congress and those who vote for such leaders play the worm on the hook. I'll stick to playing video games instead of blood letting and betrayal.

Bush already said that we don't torture people, so then the public has no need to know the details of our interrogation methods, which Leahy obviously wants to use entirely as a political weapon against Republicans. For national security reasons, it's also important that terror suspects do not know the details of our interrogation methods so that they cannot prepare mentally for interrogations. In response to this request, Bush can say that we don't use torture and then classify these documents and prevent their release and their misuse in a purely political witch hunt.
