We all know what Murtha is ... perhaps that is why NO charges have been made. Either they charge him or leave him alone - that's serving justice.
Amen.
If you're looking for any background on Murtha, I've gathered links to articles and info here Murtha File.

Family Stands By a Marine Under Investigation
Marine Corps officials have declined to comment about the case, as a nine-month investigation rests in the hands of prosecutors who have not yet decided on charges.

.Marine Corps spokesman Lt. Col. Sean Gibson said he could not confirm the radio report, which attributed its information to unnamed Pentagon sources.
.Washington attorney Gary Meyers, who represents Lance Cpl. Sharratt, said his client was not near the cab at the time passengers were shot.
He added he is not overly concerned that charges may be filed.
"If charges are brought, charges are brought and we'll see what they are," Meyers said, adding negligent homicide should not be one of the charges.
"It's absurd to apply civilian standards of 'due care' in a combat environment," Meyers said. "Negligent homicide cannot be on the table in this setting."
.National Public Radio reported that Pentagon sources told its reporter

(Washington County PA -Murthas District) Parents Defend Son Accused In Haditha Slayings-Video included.
There is a lot to comeoout on this, all because we dont want to offend the Muslim world, we are going to hang our own.
Such posts are not pleasant to read obviously, but thanks for the update.
I would like some explanation.
I wish i could talk.
The more I learn, the more I am furious at my Marine Corps.
These guys are being railroaded, you dont give a general discharge to someone accused of murder if you believe he actually murdered someone, you throw the bum out!
That means these plea bargains are an open admission that the Govt is playing games, trying to please the PC crowd, and KNOWS they have no case!!
In fact, the dont even have a head!! ( read between the lines and guess)
Kudos, Cott. Well done. I linked to Sacred Scoop on both the Murtha File and Defend Our Marines web pages.
I agree Racebannon- it's a sad sad fact to be sure- good soldiers are going to be crucified in order to prevent muslim outrage (as if that will do ANYTHING to appease the religion of perpetual outrage and hate)
Red- Thanks for the links- glad you liked what was written- I agree- the truth needs to be told in as many places as possible.
I didn't mean I wanted an explanation from you : )
(Although you gave a pretty to-the-point version of what I was thinking.)
No one should question the actions of Marines in combat. If you are not there then don't question thier actions. I support the Marines and I don't care what they did as long as all of them came home. Now I don't condone war crimes but I was not there.....
Bump. I will take the word of a Marine over an Iraqi in Haditha, an insurgent hotbed, any day. Among other things, I fear that all this may slow down the reaction time of a Marine in a perilious circumstance. The anti-war forces, on the other hand, want that to happen. A dead Marine is good for their ghoulish propaganda.
Please add me to your ping list.
You're in, Marm. Welcome aboard!
The current (Nov. 06) issue of Vanity Fair carries an article by William Langewiesche about the Haditha Marines entitled Rules of Engagement . (Unfortunately, it can't be posted here so I'm not creating a new thread.) Even though the article is so slanted against the war you have to read it sideways, it contains interesting conclusions.
The author says Murtha was wrong that the Marines at Haditha were angry or went beserk due to pressure. Their deployment in Anbar was otherwise uneventful.
Second, he presents a version of events supportive of Sgt. Frank Wuterich's main statement that Rules of Engagement were followed.
Third, he presents evidence that there was a firefight in Haditha as the Marines said (Murtha said there was none.)
Finally, he makes clear that any conviction is nearly impossible without a confession. And since the Haditha Marines have not been coerced as is the case with the Pendleton 8, that is highly unlikely.
As a bonus, there is a gallery of Kilo Company portraits and a video of Kilo Company on patrol.
Freepers smarter than me might figure out the story behind this Vanity Fair piece. The author doesn't explain how he came by his information--including a lengthy quotation of a naval interrogation of an Iraqi. More anymous DOD sources. Wonder what's going on behnd the scenes.
