I know a man who is extremely sensitive to electromagnetic radiation. So sensitive, in fact, that he could only sit in front of a computer monitor for about 30 minutes before he started breaking out in a rash. That's pretty tough for somebody making a living as a computer consultuant.Does he get dizzy easily when he turns a corner or simply rotates (1/4 or 1/2 a turn on his feet) where he stands?
Does he draw an allergic reaction to a standard map or siting compass held in close proximity?
If so, he needs to wear shielding that can shield him from the low-and ever-present and nearly-constant 0.5 Gauss magnetic field of the earth as well.
This man just doesn't need a tin-foil hat, he needs a mu-metal suit.
Mu-metal is a nickel-iron alloy (75% nickel, 15% iron, plus copper and molybdenum) that has a very high magnetic permeability. Permeability is represented by ?, the Greek letter mu.The high permeability makes mu-metal very effective at screening static or low-frequency magnetic fields, which cannot be attenuated by other methods.
Ms Figes, 49, claims she is so sensitive to wi-fi's electro-magnetic waves she can instantly tell whether it is installed in a particular room.Uhhh, Ms Figes, 49, radio waves easily propagate inter-room too, knowing no boundaries if the walls are made of anything less than the conductivity of sheet steel, copper (even concrete allows some propagation of RF/radio waves, albeit with some higher average value of attenuation) or stucco (that darn metal screen they use attenuates signals too).
In your standard 'stick and sheet-rock' constructed abode little attenuation is seen room to room with a wireless router located in the center of the house ...
Methinks she is keenly aware of and looking for any blinky lights when pulls this trick off.
Curious that they didn't mention that Wifi RF spectrum is clost to that of portable remote home phones. Maybe they should stop taking vitamins with "iron" in them .....
"It's called Evercrack for a reason...
Ask my Wife. She's addicted to it, too."
I've got a level 55 Necromancer on the Morden Rasp server. ;-)
Curious that they didn't mention that Wifi RF spectrum is clost to that of portable remote home phones.AND microwave ovens (around 2.45 GHz).
Working on 10-15kw airborne weather radar systems for 30 years killed me 2 decades ago....
I hope I have kept up on my retainer fee's. /s
Don't give them any ideas.
Mu-metal is very expensive and could double the price of a PC. ; )
Actually, this one is a for real. Some few people are very sensitive to the radiation coming out of a CRT. That's why most CRT monitors have shielding, these days. I think the shielding is a high-metallic content in the glass.
I've always thought he developed the condition as part of the Tay-Sachs Disease he was still recovering from.
But can she tell what the WEP password is?
Actually, this one is a for real. Some few people are very sensitive to the radiation coming out of a CRTWhat 'radiation' (I am going to ask that you spell out for us; I don't think you know) are you talking about? Will this effect darken photgraphic film (I and probably two dozen others here on FR know, but do you)?
And HOW is this man NOT affected by line cords (source of 60 Hz E and H fields,), power transformers (source of H fields), drills (another source of H fields) over even his shaver (cordless or otherwise) and also NOT affected by the earth's magentic field (WHICH I can guarantee you the strength and relative direction 'fluctuates' if you drive a car, walk or take a ride in an aircraft)?
Sorry, I still have to and do call 'bogus' on this.
(See also my previous post on psychosomatic conditions.)
Mu-metal is very expensive and could double the price of a PC. ; )Not to mention what it would to to the price of mu-metal for those that have legitimate needs!
A great topic for the promotion of Hillary Care.
What??
Blu's tagline refers to the plot of the TV show "Heroes." I was commenting on the fact that the actress who plays the cheerleader can't act.
And we were talking about tin foil. Hmmm...peroxide blonde, tin foil...is there a connections? If so, it better not be wireless!
