Wouldn't this comment of his be of a greater cause for concern?
I think the appropriate sentence in this case is.... banishment!
let him kill and eat some of Iran's mute swans!
This story is hilariously absurd on so many levels.
It some how missed me how eating unclean raw swan is fasting
No other Schwans around?
Is this for real? Not from the Onion?
...blood on his shirt and white feathers in his
beard....
He ate it raw???
Did any Londoners notice the population of stray dogs taking a precipitous decline during that same period? Could just be a coincidence ...
Back in the days when kings were kings, for poaching the king's game that muslim would have lost HIS head!;)
The killing of a swan by a muslim is more threatening to the British than the fact this mohammedan echoed the voices of most of his brethren when he declared in court to a judge that he hates the Queen and hates England. How utterly absurd that the British don't mind having their lives and civilization threatened by mohammedans as much as they are troubled about the welfare of their swans.
Let us recognize brother Shamsu Mian, a member-in-good-standing of Savages "R" Us since 1954...
kinda like
"I am a Muslim, I am peaceloving, I needed to blow something up."
"Swan, it's the other white meat."
My first thought was, was he really going to eat a swan? A SWAN?
Don't they have grocery stores there with food in them?
"I was fasting, I needed to eat"
When you're fasting, aren't you suppose to not eat?
Too many insane aspects of this story to touch on any one.
The guy's nuts.
Sounds to me like he is really dissatisfied with being Muslim, and is taking it out on the queen.
When interviewed he said, I was hungry, I had to eat the swan so I killed it, I stabbed it. I did nothing wrong, it was just a bird, I needed to eat.
are all mooslims this stupid?
Robin Hood poached the King's deer. He wasn't caught right away, but when he was it was not a fun time. Do not poach the King's property.
Reminds me of an old saying;
" 'Tis said that swans sing before they die
"Twere no bad thing that some men die before they sing"
Give me some ol' time 19th century British rule and colonial civility..........hurry.....there is no time to lose.
sp
"Shamsu Mian (52) killed the mute swan at a boating pond.."
The swan is now mute for sure.
"Swan upping" is the annual ceremonial census of royal swans:
