Actually, I tend to agree. My son was valedictorian at his high school and both of my daughters were in the upper parts of their classes. They all pursued science vocations after high school and beyond.
I hope I was successful in instilling a touch of my personal philosophy, to wit, the next twenty five years will be the most exciting and interesting in the history of the world.
Interesting that both "The Fusor" and the Boy Scout each are from Michigan.

there is another such kid inventor who didn't really invent anything, merely built a fusor based on what he read. Or maybe it's the same kid, but I don't think so. There was an FR topic about it in 2005 or 2006, but I couldn't turn it up. Here are related topics though:
