Karo is a syrup. Dark can be used for pancakes, waffles, or pecan pies. White is used for candy like peanut brittle or fudge, or also can be used for pecan pies.
When i was a kid, I liked to take while Karo syrup and mix it with peanut butter and eat it on biscuits (not cookies).

What is Karo is that a liquor Karo is corn syrup. In comes in white and dark flavors.
