Dump Pelosi? Let's put the new House speaker on probation.

I'll admit my timing could be better, since the incoming House Democrats, on a unanimous voice vote, just made Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., speaker of the House. But I think her party should give serious thought to dumping her.

The proximate reason, of course, is that she tried (and, thankfully, failed) to install as House majority leader Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa. It's bad enough that Pelosi promoted Murtha (over the perfectly acceptable Rep. Steny Hoyer, D-Md., who won the caucus vote) in spite of Murtha's having once been named an unindicted co-conspirator in Abscam, a 1980 FBI sting operation in which G-men posing as representatives of an Arab sheikh offered $50,000 bribes to members of Congress.

SO it comes down to whether Lefty Pelosi can successfully keep paying her vig? The Dems are a dysfunctional organized crime family.

It is always 'follow the money'...

Hillary may not run because of her negatives, but she raises lots of money, disperses lots of money to fellow congressional candidates, thus earning lots of IOUs.

These IOUs become important when she decides to become Senate Majority Leader. She knows the legend of Senator Russell and Senator Lyndon B. Johnson. She can control legislation, judges, cabinet appointments, ambassadors...

That's why I think she will stay in the Senate.

Lucretia Borgia works for me, as well.

Wasn't that family famous for poisoning the opposition?

Nah, leave her there. It's fun to watch. If we lost the election, we might as well enjoy their ineptitude.

Exactly. Murtha is down but not out. And we have to keep up the pressure and kick him as hard as possible while he's down. Among other things, we're setting up a central location for info on Murtha here. Hopefully, it'll grow into something useful to the cause.

Not so fast. I like Pelosi as head of the Democrat Party, it highlights all the idiocy and corruption that defines the Democrats. And besides, I'd like to see a real knock down, drag out fight between far left faction and the newbies. It would be fun to watch.

Emmanuel strongarming Murtha into retirement is our best hope. To help make that happen, it's important that we keep the spotlight on Murtha and not let him scurry back to the shadows.

I don't think Hastings has a chance. Still, it may not be a bad idea to get a file going on him.

We don't have to "go after" That
Pelosi flunkie Hastings..his
documented past takes care
of that. Just make sure everyone
knows it, then sit back and laugh
as the Dims justify his flunkie
appointment.
