Isn't it just like Rengel's generation of socialist democrats to protest the most when they were of draft age, but as soon as they have power, insist younger generations give more than they did?

He said having a draft would not necessarily mean everyone called to duty would have to serve. Instead, "young people (would) commit themselves to a couple of years in service to this great republic, whether it's our seaports, our airports, in schools, in hospitals," with a promise of educational benefits at the end of service.

Isn't it just like a Democrat, to take something like National Security, realize we may need a Draft and then turn it into some type of social/public service organization.\?

Great point, except Rangel served in Korea.

Well, I do seem to recall reading somewhere that actually, Charlie Rangle DID serve in the USMC.

I also seem to recall that the republican leadership gave Rangle a "put up or shut up" moment. I believe that the leadership brought up his bill for a vote, and it didn't get a single vote: Even Rangle voted against it.

If the 'Rats reinstate the draft, the 'Rats can kiss the entire college vote good bye...now and in the future.

That will certainly endear the Liberals to the American people. Liberals will get dumped like a hot potato in 08. How to win friends and influence "no one." IMO, the next two years will give the American people a good look at Liberals and their philosophy of destroying the United States in one quick easy lesson. Jimmy Carter is a good example of Liberals destroying the economy and the military and basically sending us into the toilet bowl. These brainless, anti-American, anti-military, corrupt Liberal wackjobs can't hide what they are for long.

The point is to weaken or destroy the military. Rangel wants to fill its ranks with the unwilling or the unable.

Rangel saw combat as a draftee in Korea so what are you talking about?

Good afternoon.

I believe that Charlie Rangle fought in Korea.

That doesn't make the fact that he is a race baiting socialist any less obnoxious.
