Kerry: Botched Joke Won't Affect 2008 (denial)

Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry insisted on Sunday his "botched joke" about President Bush's Iraq policy would not undermine a possible White House campaign in 2008. "Not in the least," Kerry, the Democratic presidential nominee in said when asked if the furor over his comment had caused him to reconsider a 2008 race. "The parlor game of who's up, who's down, today or tomorrow, if I listened to that stuff, I would never have won the nomination."

One of the GOP politicians mentioned in a crowded field for the White House, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, said he would not make a decision until September _ a relatively late date in the campaign cycle _ to focus in the private sector on trade policies.

He's right, it won't affect 2008. He didn't have a chance before the botched joke, and he doesn't have a chance now either.

He must be out of his mind

That about honestly sums it up. He does not, and has never, lived in the real world.

Here we go with "botched" again. There was nothing "botched" about his statement, and it wasn't a joke either. He was reading from his script. If you watch the video, you know that it was very deliberate, and neither he, nor anyone else, was laughing. He was deadly serious. Nice of MSM to give him a pass on this.

Conservatives/Republicans voters are in denial.

They just gave Kerry's party of antiamericans a victory.

Why shouldn't Kerry crow?

Another John Kerry deal. He'll deny it before he affirms it. Meaning, the first time someone comes out with a study that claims the old "brightest and best" arguments are true nowadays, he'll come back and claim that he was right all along.

Keep on thinking that.

It really won't affect him in 2008.

NO ONE wants him for President. He's irrelevant.

John Kerry pilots another swift boat up a different river on a different continent, but to the same destination. His tin ear has infected his entire brain.

Not at all, Jon F'ing Carry's chances for the Democrat nomination didn't change at all. They were zero before his botched "joke", they remain at zero today.

The 2008 nominee is, and was, Hillary.

The botched "joke" incident actually enhances his stature in the Democrat Party as it will give the party a chance to deflect from their actual platform during the 2008 primary process and avoid talking about issues.
