Funny, I am willing to thank all the big government compassionate conservatives who let their need for power trump the needs of this Nation. You lost. Blackbird.

And thank you to the GOP for enticing Conservative voters to stay home.

You REALLY need to get over it. No one owes you a thing when they vote, or don't vote.

I held my nose and voted Repub and got universal state healthcare, a ban on drug ads, and a statewide ban on smoking from our Republican governor for my troubles. Tell me again how voting Republican was going to help these issues?

Save the hysterics. Waving Pelosi's hideous death grimace at them didn't worth this time round. It won't work next time round.

Give conservatives a real choice by fronting genuinely conservative candidates and they will be motivated to vote. Conservatives are better motivated by principles, commitment, and ideas than they are by personalities.

Moving leftward to the "moderate center" (as it has been denoted by the flaming far left media) in 2008 will merely ensure that the Republican turnout stays depressed.

Worse, if we don't front genuine social conservatives on the Republican side and Dems offer socially conservative candidates as they did this time, many otherwise dependable Republican social conservatives will switch over and vote for the Democrat.

Think: Zell Miller versus Arlen Specter. Who would YOU vote for?

My Grandmother used to tell me that when the Lord handed you a lemon, you should learn to make lemonade. If people are frustrated put your frustration to work. If you are member of the GOP it is time to insist on a few changes. If you aren't involved with your local party it is time to get involved in order to go to the next convention to make sure that conservatives run the GOP instead of RINO's.

I attribute it to those "conservatives" who believe every conservative issue should involve God and center around abortion, immigration or vegetative states.

They are Alan Keyes "conservatives"-like Limbaugh, Coulter, Hannity, Levin, Malkin, etc., types who believe the role of government is to enforce certains standards as defined by them, and to protect us from ourselves.

Perhaps the elephants will be more careful in the primaries next time. This election was lost, to some extent, in 1988, 1996, and 2000.

Every time the Country Clubbers tell "us" to shut up and sit in the corner (1980 and 1994 should have taught them something) it kind of kills the credibility on rants like this.

For the record, I voted a straight ticket.

Don't stress out so much, the goofballs that sat it out this time around have and had the most to lose...If their precious agenda wasn't advanced under Bush and the GOP--well guess what...under Pelosi and Reid, IT REALLY WON'T get advanced...and we'll get tax hikes on top of it...

It's gonna be funny watching the angry base-ists implode for the next 2 years....enjoy the show...I know I will!

Why don't you take your whining up with the GOP leadership, in the meantime, piss off and you're welcome.

I voted Constitution Party

Maybe when the Republican Party gets back to the right (where it belongs and where they actually WON), I'll come back and vote for them.

Thank you for guaranteeing no more conservative judges.

I have seen what so call conservatives do with real conservative judges. Look at what the Judge Roy Moore threads have shown time and time again. If I had a nickle for every time members of this forum spit on real conservatives like Moore I would be a rich man.

I voted a mostly straight republican ticket (thankfully Alabama is blessed to have at least some real conservatives running).. but when that wasn't the case... I remembered a Bible verse or two... something straight party ticket people cringe over.

Romans 3:8 (King James Version)

And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.

Romans 6:1-2

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Romans 12:9 NIV .. Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

If you have two evil candidates... you are NOT to vote for lesser of two evils.. that hopefully grace may abound in the future..

Fortunately there is the write in option (which I used for 4 slots, couple were against dims that had no opposition) or just plain not voting. In some states it seems RINOs dominate the ticket... I can understands not voting in those states.

The Blame game has been around, Adam blamed Eve, Eve blamed the snake... but both failed to look at themselves as the reason for their fall from grace. The GOP can only look at itself in most instances.. embracing RINO policies and politicians with the "perhaps greater good can be obtained can be squeezed from the rotten apple in the future" attitude backfired.

When Israel turned it's back from Jesus, what happened. In voting straight party blindly, you seem to be voting "traditionally"... One should be careful to see how voting "tradition" instead of on the solid rock as a guild can have negative effects.

Jesus touches on this very subject of "tradition" ... * "Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition? For God commanded, saying... `He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.' But you say..." Mat. 15:3-4

* "For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men..." [Jesus] said to them, "All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition. For Moses said, 'Honor your father and your mother; and 'He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.' But you say..." Mark 7:8-11

Any person that votes a pro-abortion murder CINO has put tradition before commandments... Any person that knowingly votes for a pro-homosexual sodomite CINO has put "tradition" before God. You reap what you sow...

If you're going to whine about people's choices in voting (or not voting, as Americans are free to do), then you might consider whining about all the apparently brain-dead folks that voted for democRATS instead.

This argument has been going on since early summer. People have stated their cases before the election. Many decided to not vote this year and announced that decision prior to the election on this very forum. The answer was repeatedly name-calling and threats rather than friendly debate and reason. It appears that the name-calling continues. Unfortunately, that isn't likely to draw voters in future elections, just as it wasn't effective in this election.

I was wondering where you data is that supports the claim that "conservatives" did not vote. I think all i have seen is independents (rinos) did not vote for the GOP.
