And furthermore............
She dares to whine. What does she think Clarence Thomas' life has been like since his confirmation hearings for the USSC?

What an ignoramus. Sandra D. was the blackest mark on Reagan's mostly praiseworthy presidency!
[Or should one refer to her as an "ignorama?"]

Yeah, I noticed that too. I guess the MSM still hasn't figured out that we have discovered this truth about their reporting.
But .. it does say something for the hatred being spewed by the left .. and how their unstable members take it literally.

Which doesn't change the fact that Sandy D is an overwrought drama queen.
Read the back story, and you find out the poisoned cookies were IDENTIFIED as such in a cover letter.
She is in more danger of being hit by a bus.

Was this CT woman a Soros supporter? Anyone have a record of her campaign contributors?

What do you think would have happened if all the Justices had been murdered? Obviously, nine new Justices would have been needed pronto, but with the politics involved, could that have happened? There's not an absolute need to install nine ASAP. Since there's no fixed number in the Constitution and we've had fewer than nine in most of the country's history, we only really need to confirm just one strong conservative.

"We need somebody to put rat poisoning in Justice Stevens' creme brulee," Coulter said. "That's just a joke, for you in the media."
The cookies do not seem to be a joke.

"But Sandra seems to prefer drama to facts."
Yes, she does. This is all about her trying to silence critics of the judiciary. It's painfully obvious.

"Maybe it's just me but I always assumed that people of such stature receive this kind of stuff from crazies all the time? I don't see this as news."
Yep, and it's not just people in government. There are wackos who go after other kinds of celebrities too. Why? Because they're nutballs.
Ex-Justice O'Connor is just using this to try and prove her hypothesis that vocal right-wing critics in the Senate and House are to blame when someone goes crazy and takes out their anger against a judge. There is no evidence to support this, of course, but "Day" never let facts get in her way on the Court, so why should her retirement be any different?

I checked this thread just to see where the Coulter quote would be. Pretty far down, I am surprised.

Thank you. from document on Smoking Gun:
Barbara Joan March spent most of the last 20 years in prison.
March "signed" other names on the letters she sent that she typed from a typewriter in the public library to implicate "people that had wronged her": former room mates, relatives and friends that she felt had abandoned her.
The innocent defendents, that March had implicated in the threatening packages, reported they had ended their relationship with Barbara March because of a pattern of bizarre and threatened behavior of March.

Why do they need her on the study group? Is there a vote to split?

So she didn't seriously try to kill anyone, what she really wanted was to try to get the people whose return address she used into trouble by making it look like they sent the cookies.

Yes, you would think that the quote "We need somebody to put rat poisoning in Justice Stevens' creme brulee," would be relevant to this discussion.
Good thing that that Al Frankin never made a joke about poisoning Justice Thomas' food.
