My neighbor looked at me like I was nuts when she heard I did not have a car and had decided to stay here....Luckily I am content. I have had company come and take me out but I am really a homebody now. I will go back to my daughter's for Christmas and have a good long visit. I could not have stood doing without a car when I was younger.LOL I thank God I am so content with it..I was without cable TV until recently and still managed well!

I also thank God daily for the physical ability to do what I have done..the really bad backaches came after I had finished many major cleanup, organizing jobs. If my back hurts..I just stop and get on the heating pad for awhile and sometimes put off a project..I am more accepting.

I have a tremor that limits me in some things. I deal with it better now that I am thankful for what I can do instead of what I cannot do at all or easily.

The Lord has taught me a lesson in patience.

God bless you for being a beautiful person who is always upbeat and cheerful and never complains. I pray that God will give you comfort in your infirmaries and minimize them so that you can continue to have a sweet, good life. You seem so content and that is such a blessing!

What an inspiration and lovely testimonial. I'll try to remember this when I start to complain.

Meg, I enjoyed this post so much. It was sweet and so positive. Makes me want to have more patience with the pain I deal with and really, like you said, I do thank God for what he lets me do each day, even though I hurt a lot. Yes, we do need to be more thankful. And especially with Thanksgiving on us. Many thanks to you.

I also thank God for your testimony, dear Meg. I found it by following Kitty Mitten's posts (;

Your song of hope brought this passage to mind:

Romans 5 (NLT)

Faith Brings Joy

1 Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

6 When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. 7 Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. 8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. 9 And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation. 10 For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. 11 So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.
