I have a produce stand and I sometimes sell Mexican tomatoes, squash, or strawberries if I cannot buy American grown.
If people ask where it came from and I say Mexico...they walk away. Most of the time I cannot get California garlic, so I sell garlic from China, same thing happens. But Canadian produce people will buy. American grown, people will always buy and, of course, produce grown by local farmers sells THE best.
