BREAKING NEWS:
Conservatives with Attitude! insiders are informing us that Congressman John Murtha will DROP OUT of the running for the number 2 spot in the House as Majority Leader.
Even if he does stay in the race, he will fall short by a few votes.
This will serve as a big blow to Nancy Pelosi.

Does anyone think Hillary isn't aware of this scenerio?: Well, that was the attitude that she bought into the Senate hearing this week, when she tried to grill that General and said "Hope isn't a strategy," and the general shot back; "Neither is depair."
Seeing that gave me one of the first glimmers of hope for 08, in that this woman doesn't know how to debate worth a damn. - what a slapdown!
Also that particular question, when she is clearly being directed by Clinton & Co. to keep a low profile and especially, keep her mouth shut so that she can claim a centrist position, and thereby defeat any "centrist" GOP candidate, does clearly show the mindset and views that no politician should show until after election. Kind of like being caught with your knickers down, to borrow a phrase...

I know. I lived in his district 90-99. My biggest joy of 94 was the look on his face when the republicans took control and took away his house speaker dreams.

The (R)s will not win an election with McLame or Rudy. The media will cover for the Hildabeast & you will have the SC full of the biggest leftist imaginable. Get your prayer rugs with an order of tacos & hope that universal health care card reaches you before your malady.
LOL if it weren't so sad...it would be funny.

Norm, those photos of a dejected Jack Murtha behind Hoyer are classic! They bear a resemblance to this photo of Kerry being left out of the Senate "leadership walk". Hope you can make out the expression on Kerry's face! (I'm trying to find a better copy.)
Looks to me like a hopeful sign that at least some of the most stupid anti-war Dems are being sidelined.

I dunno... I'm kinda thinkin the wicked witch is gonna rub some of the centrist dems the wrong way. There's a difference (not much, I agree) between liberal and looney tunes.

There will be so many eyes on Murtha as House Defense Approp Chair, he won't be able to make a move. Nor will the lobbyists. The Repubs need to demand an investigation of his dealings with his defense lobbyist brother (who has conveniently and richly retired from that business).

Kerry and Murtha pushed to the sidelines? Well, there's only response to that...
