BREAKING NEWS:
Conservatives with Attitude! insiders are informing us that Congressman John Murtha will DROP OUT of the running for the number 2 spot in the House as Majority Leader.
Even if he does stay in the race, he will fall short by a few votes.
This will serve as a big blow to Nancy Pelosi.

Good. Steny Hoyer may be wrong on some issues, but he's not a crook.

SMACKDOWN!!!
Pelosi really screwed this one up. Steney Hoyer won in a walkaway.
This will really set back the Moonbat caucus. Makes it a bit harder for Republicans.

Not really. She was only going through the motions. She didn't make much of an effort beyond issuing her letter of support.
Could this all be Pelosi strategery? Throw a bone to the hard core lefties by supporting Murtha knowing he would lose, only to step back later and pull a Bill Clinton "I've never worked harder in my life, but I just couldn't get Murtha in the leadership".
Could be. But she has lost a lot of face by losing one of her first fights as SOH. Personally, I don't think she is that smart.
Bad for her, she is a loser out of the gates.
Bad for us, we lose a very entertaining target.

Not really. She was only going through the motions. She didn't make much of an effort beyond issuing her letter of support. Not according to a Wash. Post article yesterday (scroll down and you'll see the link). The DBM (print and broadcast) have been saying for days that if Murtha goes down, it casts doubt on Pelosi's leadership abilities. If they try to explain Pelosi's endorsement of Murtha as merely political posturing and not really insincere, that doesn't reflect very well on her either.
But I do recall the DBM buying Clinton's excuse for Sandy Burgler's document pilfering - that Burgler was just notoriously messy.

I guess what sunk ol' Jack was Rush Limbaugh's endorsement of him yesterday. The proverbial kiss of death for any Democrat is to be endorsed by Rush. (laughing) What do you know: IT WORKED!!!

HOYER WINS! And it wasn't even close.Next question - how is the DBM going to explain how all this was shrewd political positioning by Pelosi?

Now begins the disinegration of the donk party. This is very bad news for the donks because they will tear each other apart now. I disagree with one thing, this is good for republicans because people will now openly see how radical Pelosi is.
