Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has hired several of Jeb Bushs top aides, leading to speculation that Romney may be courting the outgoing Florida governor for a possible Romney-Bush 2008 ticket for the White House.
After Bushs former chief of staff and top political adviser, Sally Bradshaw, joined Romneys Commonwealth political action committee earlier this month, Romney flew to Florida to join Bush for campaign events and fund-raisers - and to gauge Bushs interest in being a running mate, sources told the Boston Herald.
Soon after, Bushs chief finance director, Ann Woods Herberger, also joined Romneys political action committee.
Bush has ruled out running for president himself. But agreeing to accept the vice presidential post would allow him to "run on the national ticket without having to run for the ticket, since vice presidential candidates are chosen, not elected, political analyst David Mark, a former political reporter who covered Gov. Bush, told the Herald.

Romney's too liberal but you want Rice? She's pro-choice on abortion. Her views on other things aren't even known.
This is exactly what I was referring to in my last post. If you can sleep at night, you pick a candidate who can carry Michigan. I'll pick a candidate who can prevent a nuclear holocaust from occurring in my lifetime.
She is an absolute menace, of course. Which is another reason I'm upset with the Bush/Clinton alliance. More than enough of both families!
I like that ticket too.........I can't believe that people here would back all these RINOS. Rudy isn't conservative nor is Jeb Bush............
The man who has articulately pointed out all the problems we have and our future problems is NEWT.........he is brilliant and a true leader!
She would make a good Veep.
Spare us. I can't be the only one here that finds this a major reason to bid "adios" to his presidential aspirations.
The non-English speaking Mexican vote is only "increasingly important" because GWB, The RNC and the Republican elitists refuse to protect our sovereignty, despite the immigration laws on the books and the desires of the citizenry. When did the we Americans decide to become a bi-lingual country?
No No a thousand times NO!
I cannot take another liberal Bush. No more Bush family members please. This one has screwed up the conservative movement enough. Probably cost conservatives a movement at all.
I don't think this is what's best for Jeb Bush. If there isn't a noticeable improvement in GW's numbers in the next 2 years, Jeb should sit out a cycle and let things go to hell in a hand basket, and then step in to help.
If he goes too soon he'll end any chance he'd ever have.
"Please, no more Bushes."
+1
I agree with you. I don't think we've seen last of Jeb.
I like the Giuliani/Jeb ticket myself. I don't know why everybody is so anti-Jeb. I evaluate each person as a person and don't bring his family into that evaluation. Jeb is very intelligent, articulate, conservative, and has been a fantastic governor, one of the best in the nation. Now if we want to compare Jeb to his father and brother, of the 3 he's the most articulate and conservative.
