Authorities say US and Iraqi forces have arrested a top operator of Iraq's Al Qaeda group.
Interior Ministry spokesman Major General Abdel Karim Khalaf says US forces parachuted on the Baghdad house of Abdullah Juburi in an overnight operation.
"He is one of the dangerous criminals in Al Qaeda," Major General Khalaf said.
He says Iraqi ground forces, including the rapid intervention force, raided Mr Juburi's house as US troops parachuted into the area, Arab Jubur, on the southern outskirts of Baghdad.

If we really parachuted, that's an interesting one. Anyone else thinking HALO specops?
What's a "pilosa"?
I just googled this guy's name and came up with someone of the same name who was mentioned in news stories as a colonel in the Iraqi National Guard. Not the same guy I hope.
Abdullah Juburi are such common names his name might as well be Omar Badr.

MR Juburi??????????? I guess we should call Bin Laden MR.
Jeez. I feel sorry for the colonel, then.
43] IRAQI KURDISH NEWSPAPER SAYS ARREST WARRANT ISSUED FOR FORMER DIYALA GOVERNOR
The Interior Ministry has reportedly issued an arrest warrant for former Diyala Governor Abdallah al-Juburi, "Kurdistani Nuwe" reported on 25 October. The warrant was issued following a report by the Integrity Committee accusing al-Juburi of "corruption, stealing government funds, and manipulating [reconstruction] projects implemented in the region" the daily reported. A police source in Diyala Governorate told "Kurdistani Nuwe" that al-Juburi is also wanted on charges of aiding terrorism. Al-Juburi's whereabouts are unknown and he is thought to be outside Iraq. KR
Top Al Qaeda operator
. OPERATOR?!
How long before these treasonous MSM SOBs start calling them entrepreneurs?
I'll guess that it is a different guy.
Sounds like it, but I suspect it was a fastrope operation.
Governors are provincial, aren't they? Is Tikrit in Diyala Province?
Not sure..
Me thinks an airborne unit wanted to get that nice little star above the wings.
HALO! Special Forces or Delta, most likely.
I LOVE IT!!
The combat jump star is not the one above the wings, or canopy actually. 1st combat jump star goes on the risers, is smaller and of a different color.
The star above the wings refers to jumpmaster status.
