Does Sacramento station KFBK AM1530 play the Rush Replay anymore? (Vanity)

Okay. sorry if i'm posting this in the wrong forum. But i just got off work here in Sacramento. Turned on to AM 1530 for the Rush Replay.. and it's someone else. Does anybody know if they dropped Rush's replay? They already dropped the Saturday Best of Rush a while ago. KFBK 1530 is where Rush got his start. I know they fired Mark Williams a while back and put someone less conservitive on in his time slot.

Can anyone fill me in?

I read an article the other day here at FR, that said KFBK dropped the "Rush Replay" as of Monday, and now carries Coast To Coast AM.

yeah? WTF? thats what i'm hearing.. why did they do that? they must have gotten a new program Director. anybody have the guys email for us to FReep?

I did. thats how I've been hearing Rush at night. i don't want to stick my foot in my mouth and FReep this persons email if thats not the case. If they got a new Manager then i would like to send some emails..

I was just unsure if this is a sign of things to come

AM nighttime radio sucks at this time of night. I can think of only one or two other radio hosts on LIVE at this hour, but all the rest of what I can receive at night is the same thing, C2C.

Please do FReep the program manager. He deserves it, and not just for this. Just a few months ago he fired a popular conservative host for a mediocre liberal who currently earns 15th place in the market.

Yeah. That would be "Night Talk with Mark Williams".. WTF is going on? KFBK has ALWAYS been the voice here. Heck. the KFBK "skip" can be heard all over the western states. From Washington to S.D. To Utah, to Idaho, to Canada in some parts.. Is Tom Sullivan still on in the afternoons?

Yep welcome to the world of Program Director, Jeff Holden, and Operations Manager, Alan Eisensohn.

They are destroying the station. News quality tanking (used to be live traffic reports from a helicopter, no more. Less news reporters. Losing a number of big name news personalities over the last year).

They fired Mark Williams - not because he had bad ratings, he was #1 in the key demos ... NUMBER 1 - but because they thought he was too conservative. They hired a moderate/moderate-to-liberal guy to replace him, Bruce Maiman. Maiman constantly attacks Bush and Rush Limbaugh.

Now the station's dumped the Rush Replay and replaced it with Coast to Coast AM - the alien encounter show.

Thanks for the follow up. I'm gonna get right on with the homework assignment you've given us. When the libs want something abolished.. they start small. like with Mark Williams.. then it was only no Rush on Sat night. Then only 2 (vs 3) hours on sat.. now it's no more at night.. i forsee a time when they no longer carry Rush.. and I'm not to happy about it. Being that Rush was from Sac and got his start on KFBK.. i wonder if he's aware of this.. and his feelings about it.
