It would be interesting to know how many states vote completely by mail-in or close to it. I miss going to the polls too.

I wonder how many more ballots King County has to count and how many more will just show up? Maybe there will be an update at the eleven 'o clock news.

As far as I know, Oregon is the ONLY state in which ALL elections are vote by mail.

If the Libertarians had gone with J.D. it would be neck and neck right know.

If true, they will be happy. Their goal is get enough votes to have defeated one candidate or the other. They don't seem to care which. A number of them have said this and written about it.

Shadegg USED to be my "guy" til 2000 or so. Isn't he great? Hope he goes for minority leader, and wins this time.

Yes, Shadegg is great. I was introduced to him at the wedding of a mutual friend about two years ago and walked away very impressed. He was attentive, well informed, friendly, didn't BS or sugarcoat his opinions, and had a pretty good sense of humor. (His wife is also impressive, very bright and friendly.)

I'm a nobody with little stature or influence in the community and yet he treated me like a millionaire donor. We talked often throughout the night about a whole host of issues and I never once caught him looking around for someone "more important" to schmooze with. His office is always at the ready when needed. The guy's a hardworking winner with a very bright future. I wish him and his family well.

Has anyone heard about JD Hayworth yet?????

Yes, they are still counting. J.D. is about 5-6K votes behind, but they have a lot of votes to count, and won't be done before this weekend at the earliest. He still has a shot, at least.

I'll post a thread when we get official results, since this is local for me.

Hmmm. Let's see. Hayworth won that seat in 2004 by more than 20 points and in 2002 by an even larger margin. Now, he loses by almost 5 points in a heavily GOP district.

I would call that getting crushed. Maybe that's just my opinion. I'm not sure what made you think I'm a Democrat, but you couldn't be further off.

Again, he hasn't lost. The seat is still in play.

Glad to hear that you're not a Dem.

So do you think voter fraud is an issue in this case?

I mean, J.D. won by approximately 59% last election in a district with 139,000 Republican, 89K Dumbocrat, and another 80,000 or so Independent.

What changed so drastically in the last 2 years to cause such a shift in his numbers...besides the fact that Carville et al. showed up in the last week or so before November 7th?

Yes after they "discover" 10,000 Burner votes under the bed of a democrat poll worker in Seattle, they will somehow "miss" any military votes that were cast.

Thank God. We need to milk every GOP seat we can get, because, sooner or later, WE'LL BE BACK!

That sort of thing is just garbage. Votes should be treated like cash because they are that valuable. They should be deposited in lock boxes by the voter and escorted to one central location in each district before being counted. None of this looney finding votes.

I know the Dem mantra is fake but 'Every vote should be counted'. I mean this in regards to Absentee Ballots which are often ignored and are often military. Dems say this about illegal ballots and provisional ballots which are many times an attempt to vote more than once per registration.

Votes found at the last second? In a closet? Forget 'em.

S-H-O-C-K!!! We never win the close ones and I wonder why. It must not have been close enough for the RATs to cheat enough to steal it.

I don't believe for one minute that it's coincidence that RATS are always able to win the close elections.

He interviewed on Sean Hannity last Friday, possibly by this Wednesday (tomorrow)...
That's counting 50,000 ballots a day.
