SUPREME COURT (Nov. 13) - The Supreme Court on Monday let stand the murder conviction of Kennedy cousin Michael Skakel, who is serving a prison term of at least 20 years.

The justices declined, without comment, to take Skakel's appeal of his conviction in the beating death of his Greenwich, Conn., neighbor, Martha Moxley, 31 years ago when the two were teenagers. Skakel, a nephew of Ethel Kennedy, was convicted in 2002.

Now 46, Skakel is serving 20 years to life in prison.

And in other news, his other murdering cousin wins his district by 70%.

Can someone explain how people can vote for Ted Kennedy and his drug addict son?

It's completely beyond me. Democrats have no problem dealing with contradictions.

The man is the only Kennedy (by association) to have ever paid for their crimes against women. Hope he rots in prison.

Rest in Peace, Martha.

I never understood this case. If that fellow committed the crime, he must have committed it when he was a juvenile, no? And, if so, why was he convicted as an adult in contempory time? How is it that the laws of charging crimes are so much at the whim of district attorneys and sympathetic judges? Make no mistake here, if he did it, he deserves to be punished. But, if he did it as a juvenile, he should have been punished as a juvenile. If that seems unacceptable, change the law!

HONestly, I think he should have been tried as a minor since he did the crime as a minor, but that is just me. Also, I don't think there was enough evidance to convict him. I'm not fan of the Kennedy family, but something about this bother's me.

Dadgum Continental Soldier, don't you think a 20 year sentence is pretty much a minor's level sentence for murder?? Read Mark's investigative story on this case, don't be so perplexed, it's not difficult, it's just that mega-bucks keeps justice at bay but sometimes it does catch up, albeit late--and too light.
