Yes, happily skipping together hand in hand for years (and one of them has a surprise coming should the other ever fully take power).
What third world minds can never grasp is that modern civilizations do not drop out of the sky ready to plug it in and turn it on.
Civilization is a continuing process that begins with building institutions of learning, religion and government and proceeds from there.
Civilization must be maintained and kept up or it will go back to ruin. In other words, you must pick up the garbage in front of your doorstep and support it or civilization will go away.
South Africa is a good example of what happens to a modern nation taken over by less-civilized people.
If Islam took over America today, in twenty-five years it would be just like the Sudan or Iraq.
