According to the Iranian media Monday, Iranian President Mahoud Ahmadinejad declared that Israel was destined to disappearance and destruction at a council meeting with Iranian ministers.
The western powers created the Zionist regime in order to expand their control of the area. This regime massacres Palestinians everyday, but since this regime is against nature, we will soon witness its disappearance and destruction, Ahmadinejad said.

Yikes. If the question is: "What is the greatest threat to world peace and human liberty?", then "Islam" is in fact the answer.
How's the UN Security Council handling this?
Z-z-z-z
Hopefully, Israel is not as suicidal as the rat voters and our cut and run Rino/Cinos were last week.
Israels future and survival will not be determined by Ahmadinnerjacket. But Ahmadinnerjacket being blinded to the truth does not understand that it is not the United States who ultimately defends Israel with a harsh vengeance and victory before the world. One day too even Ahmadinnerjacket will bow before the one who protects Israel. Then it will be too late.
Here is a better translation from the Septuagint:
A Psalm of David, 2.
Why have the heathen raged, and the peoples meditated empty things? The kings of the earth were aroused, and the rulers were assembled together, against the Lord, and against His Christ. Let us break their bonds asunder, and let us cast away their yoke from us. He that dwelleth in the heavens shall laugh them to scorn, and the Lord shall deride them. Then shall He speak unto them in His wrath, and in His anger shall He trouble them. But as for Me, I was established as king by Him, upon Sion His holy mountain, proclaiming the commandment of the Lord. The Lord said unto Me: Thou art My Son, this day have I begotten Thee. Ask of Me, and I will give Thee the nations for Thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for Thy possession. Thou shalt herd them with a rod of iron; Thou shalt shatter them like a potter's vessels. And now, O ye kings, understand; be instructed, all ye that judge the earth. Serve ye the Lord with fear, and rejoice in Him with trembling. Lay hold of instruction, lest at any time the Lord be angry, and ye perish from the righteous way. When quickly His wrath be kindled, blessed are all that have put their trust in Him.
Define "engage". Please.
I ask, who besides Homer Simpson thinks this is logical.
I think it is akin to Neville Chamberlain's criminal naivete which cost a hundred million lives.
Iran, in my view, needs a removal of its regime and its nuclear program. And if the removal irritates Paris, Moscow, Beijing, the UN, the EU, Hugo Chavez, and Dick Durbin, why then, that's gravy.
Thanks. I had zero idea what engage meant.
Nuance would be a better word.
Yes, that's undoubtedly the ambition of the devout among them, but for the rest it's just another sacrifice to Ba'al.
It does look bad for Iran ~ all of Persian in fact.
All of Syria ~ and that's quite a lot of territory including chunks of what is now Turkey. Nothing that was part of the empire of the Medes (who conquered the Persians) would be included. For the most part that would consist of the areas held by the Kurds and Armenians.
My idea of engagement is more along the lines of, say, carpet bombing, or bunker busters, that sort of thing, not diplomats signing pieces of paper for tyrants to use in lieu of toilet tissue.
When I was in the Navy, before then and afterwards, engagement was in battle with the enemy.
If Mahmoud Ahmadinejad were to launch one of his missiles (developed with Russian and North Korean assistance) at, say, Tel Aviv, the chain reaction would be on a scale we've not seen.
Syria has been named an endpoint for the Iraqi WMDs removed before the U.S. invasion in 2003. Bashir Assad would do well to divorce himself from the actions of Ahmadinejad, perhaps by opening his country to inspectors.
Syria--and Iran--will not modify terrorist behaviors until those behaviors carry an unbearable cost.
Which won't be a piece of paper signed by diplomats.
Looks like a buncha Mullahs ROTFLOL.
That is troublesome...
You did a great job with this one, potlatch.
It's funny, but makes a good point.
"Nice graphic Phil."
I concur.
You guys are scaring me. ;o)
buncha Mullahs
