Unless the life chances of children raised by single mothers suddenly improve, the explosive growth of the U.S. Hispanic population over the next couple of decades does not bode well for American social stability. Hispanic immigrants bring near–Third World levels of fertility to America, coupled with what were once thought to be First World levels of illegitimacy. (In fact, family breakdown is higher in many Hispanic countries than here.) Nearly half of the children born to Hispanic mothers in the U.S. are born out of wedlock, a proportion that has been increasing rapidly with no signs of slowing down. Given what psychologists and sociologists now know about the much higher likelihood of social pathology among those who grow up in single-mother households, the Hispanic baby boom is certain to produce more juvenile delinquents, more school failure, more welfare use, and more teen pregnancy in the future.

With Washington doing everything it can to start a civil war in this country, what does anyone expect? With the continued importing of Mexican poverty and crime, the uncontrolled breeding habits of these people, the American citizen is not going to have much choice but to defend what is his or hers, any way they can.

If our culture believed in assimilation, where new immigrants adopted our ways and our values, then this might be something we could absorb. But the Liberals have taught us that it is our values that are rotten. The diversity that is brought to us from Third World countries is a fine thing which (you see) enriches our nation.

If our culture had strong social values firmly in place, then this would be something we could weather. But the Liberals have damaged our culture, and today it's "just not done" to criticize people for looking or acting like whores or hoodlums.

Teacher friends here in Mexifornia tell me that it's not uncommon for a single mother who speaks no English to have four or five children, "brothers and sisters", Spanish speaking, all with different last names, and no father in the home.

Doesn't matter. If this continues, we'll have a white/Asian upperclass and a large hispanic/mestizo underclass, just like old Mexico. We'll also have imported all Mexico's problems.....look at what is happening in Oaxaca. Not to mention that drug lords are moving into cities in SoCal and turning them into pseudo Mexican hellholes.

The troubling aspect of illegal immigrants is their notion that poverty is a license to cheat and steal. Listen to their advocates and sympathizers argue that due to poverty they have the right to cut in line ahead of legal immigrants, due to poverty they have the right to use forged papers and stolen SSN to get a job, due to poverty they have the right to government services, even though they do not fully pay taxes (other than property taxes thru rent and sales tax) while other American/legal residents are required to do so. Look what those Chamber of Commerce GOP types and GOP free traders have wrought upon America, and the middle class/working poor will bear the brunt of the costs in taxes, crime and quality of life. The Chamber of Commerce types and free traders do not have to worry about such things because they live in MacMansion communities which illegal immigrants could not afford, so their schools and hospitals will be financially stable, while the rest of America must struggle with this population burden. Do these Chamber of Commerce/free trading GOP worry about higher taxes, not a bit, because the profit made from illegal labor more than offset the Dem tax increases. That is why they don't care about the blue collar GOP voters.

This would not bother me if the "mestizo underclass" would behave with, if not with the same values and manners as my people, at least a deference and respect for the citizens whose country they have invaded and are destroying.

I think it's more complicated than that. I teach ESL to Central American immigrants, many of whom I assume are illegal, but I don't know for sure. I have two sets of parents who left their children behind to come work here at great personal sacrifice. Then I have a lot of younger men and women, late teens and early twenties. I feel for them. In order to make ends meet, they live in large groups in homes and trailers. They work extremely long hours and often 6 days a week, probably for minimum or less. These young people basically have themselves for entertainment. I wonder a lot about their lives. There is not much back home and here, I think they live in a shadow society alongside our own. My guess is that they can't get married. I think this is a recipe for disaster and we need to get workable legislation for the benefit of all of us. I am against illegal immigration, but as long as employers are allowed to hire them, they will come.

They will vote your money as theirs with a certain political party helping just to get their votes. We are losing billions in unpaid taxes now that is being wire tranferred to Latin America.
