A provocative video hits the internet this week showing male soldiers in Iraq aggressively duct-taping a female soldier to a pole!
Titled, "When your the only girl in the maintenance section," the 4 minute long video shows a laughing female getting wrapped up with heavy tape.

Get real. My Soldiers duct taped me to a table (after flex-cuffing me since I kept breaking the tape on my wrists). I'm an officer and they're enlisted, so that's technically "inappropriate." Guess I should've put them in for court martials, right?
I'm sure I would feel left out if I were in a group and they felt they had to treat me different. Thank you for your service to our country, btw and belated happy Vetrans Day.

This must break SOME kind of rules.
McCain just now went for prez. He said he had to huddle with his family and make sure they did not break any laws. If I'm lying then I 'm dying.
Where I worked (uniformed staff, NY State Prison system), it was standard practice to "get" the new guy or girl, whether they were officer or supervisor. One learned NEVER to leave your uniform hat laying around. Inevitably, someone would hide it on you, or they would put red or black felt tip marker on the rim inside, so that when you wore it, the ink would rub off on your forehead and you'd end up with a ring there. You wouldn't know it until you either looked in the mirror or someone told you. I did it to a Captain once. Thank God I've retired, but I doubt he ever found out who had done it. Another item you never laid down was your sunglasses. They'd do the same thing...put black felt tip marker on the rims and bridge, and when you'd put them on, the ink would rub off on your face and you'd have black lines on your cheeks and on the bridge of your nose. How you reacted to these practical jokes told them what type of person you were. If you got mad and huffy, you probably weren't anyone they wanted around, but if you took it like it was meant, as a joke, then they welcomed you into the fold. It was a kind of hazing routine. I remember once when a new Sergeant made the mistake of leaving his briefcase and hat in the Rover's office of the building he was in charge of. The officers took them and duct taped them to the ceiling in that office. It took the Sergeant all night to find his stuff.
Oh please. Give it a rest. This sort of thing is completely harmless and happens all the time, especially on deployments.
Oh my God...that is so funny!!! I'm laughing so hard I've got tears in my eyes!
Oh, the humanity!

This is a disgrace. A real disgrace. I know it's probably in good fun, but what kind of message is this sending? Why did you put this on the internet? It's not funny.

Why is this news? They are handling her carefully. She's laughing and not screaming, "this will end up on YOUTUBE, and Arianna Huffington will make sure you will all be court Marshalled."

This looks like something my friends in Ft. Smith and I would do to our friend Danielle. And we love her dearly.

There is no reason for anyone to make a big deal of this. Thank God they can still act like kids in the middle of a succesful war.

She looks like she's having fun. I don't see why drudge thinks this is a big deal.

I guess this is the next abu Ghrab? Or however the heck you spell the overblown, overshown prison video that helped win the left the House & Senate. I guess the GIs got the news of the elections and said "What the hell? We won't be here much longer now...may as well play grab-ass before the terrorists start shooting their guns in glee!"

my sons Principal kissed a pg when the school fundraiser mets it mark!
Wow! If the libs are offended by this, I am certain they will be offended by their sexually charged drunken kids who act out far worse than this at their respecive colleges every Thursday through Sunday during the school year. /sarc.
This is trouble for those boys I fear.
Agree! BTW my Dad was a lifer (Air Force) so I my early life was on military bases. Back in the early 60s I had kids of all races and ethnicities in my classes at school. I was surprised when he retired and we went to civilian schools and they were just starting to integrate. In the military it was a way of life.

If you turn your monitor off and just listen to the sounds, you will hear this woman say "NO" several times and you can hear the distress in her voice.
Then, when you turn your monitor on and watch the activity around the incident, you will see soldiers walk up, watch and listen to her cries for a few seconds, then put their heads down and rush away. Did they know whether or not she needed their assistance before they left?
I find this video quite disturbing.
I don't hear distress. I hear her laughing.
Whatever, she was laughing the whole time and if she really wanted them to stop she would have cried and said no, not laughed!
Yes. Someone's got to play the real life Cpt Binghamton.
Kudos to your dad and happy Vet day to him as well !!!
