***I'll place the blame where it belongs. The majority party with a minority mindset***

Woefully true...

I wrote a piece for local consumption having to do with - for one thing - the possible criminal charges in Europe against Rumsfeld and Atty Gen'l Roberto Gonzalez and how that - along with endless Congressional subpoenas and investigations - may precipitate wholesale desertions amongst the military over the next six months or so... BUT, your e-mail comes back undeliverable... can you send me your new e-mail address, please?

Do you know where I see the most ads by Progressive Insurance? (They are a big player in the Progressive movement)

On Fox News...and the stations that my granddaughters watch, like Nickelodeon.

#398, Agree the so called Conservative Media elites never stopped their diatribes until the white House schmoozed with them and they felt important. It was too late by then, they had already done the damage. I will only listen to Rush from now on,and if I get mad at him I will tell him in an email. These creepy Conservatives reminded me so much of the Sports Talk Shows on the Radio that have come on strong in the last 10 years. They are so nasty, critical, off the wall, second guessing that they destroy good Coaches, players, even Owners with their constant ridicule and offensive statements. They are not qualified to talk about any given situation, and yet they talk, and talk, and talk, and it is all blah blah blah BS. I have seen them single handedly destroy three Miami Dolphin Coaches, and they are working on a fourth. It is a good thing that they were not as prevalent when the Dolphins went 17-0 and won the Superbowl, they would have had something to complain about for their stupid air time. I would love to see them gone, and Idiots like George Will, and Bill Kristol, they are useless has beens.

Included in that bill was supposed to be a provision to punish employers who hired illegals. We all know how well that hasn't been enforced. The numbers in the 80's was much lower than the numbers we're talking about now.

In all fairness, the numbers coming here increase substantially after the summer of 2001 when Vincente Fox came to the USA for a visit and there was a joint statement between the two Presidents that gave hope for Amnesty and started a virtual stampeed for the border in order to be here when it happened.

While we all argue the subject on this side of the border, one thing that is virtually ignored is what this is doing to families who remain on the other side of the border.

The way Kean was talking prior to the election, he would have been first in line to help the Dems impeach the President. At times I thought the only reason he ran as a Republican was because they already had a Democratic candidate in NJ. The night he was on H&C was downright pathetic. He was more like a windup doll than a real candidate of substance.

I think perhaps the archdiocese of St. Joseph and Kansas City had a little bit to do about the turnaround. I first heard about the amendment on EWTN, not from Rush. Many of the Catholic activists were all over this.

Ask yourself this: if the amendment was a sure thing, why did Fox make the commercial?

Well, you can think what you want. I heard from too many acquaintences and relatives who are moderates to think that Rush's performance helped. I can't convince anyone who thinks otherwise, I am sure. I only speak for myself, and I know what effect it had among people I know.

First of all...it is considered rude to post about another poster, without putting that poster's name in the TO: spot....so that they can be alerted to being talked about.

Second of all...maybe her thoughts aren't hers, but to insinuate she is stupid, still...isn't getting you anywhere with me.

BTW...re: her last point...the dems have already said they will NOT fund the fence..and won't let legislation through during the lame duck session, either.

The President has a veto pen for a reason. To use it. You're absolutely right about McCain-Feingold and his excuse for not vetoing it.

No, I am not saying Rush is the reason we lost the majority. We lost due to a combination of factors: the Rats ran faux conservatives, the media attacking non-stop, the fear of the war, the complacency of the public, the scandals of Foley and Abramoff, etc. etc.

One component of this loss, however, was the attacks on Bush by right-wing talk radio and the injection of Limbaugh's personality into the election. It didn't make a difference all over the country, but I think in the Missouri race it did make a difference. Talent lost by a small margin, and Rush's comments did NOT help.

And, his arrogant comments after the election may have made him feeel better, but he has lost me as a listener forever.

I've found the initial transcripts for the Dean and Bartlett interviews from today's FNS. I'll take a shot at posting links to those. I remember seeing a thread edited earlier this week because we have to extract from Fox now too. I'll post the links and an initial comment to get things started and continue to hack away in that fashion at the high points of the interviews. I'll continue to look to see if they post the round table, as well. I'll send you a link here when I get that up.
