Probably the Talent loss was due to both "stay at home" conservatives and turned-off moderates. All I will sy right now is that Rush didn't help.
I thought he had a chance until my sister said she wouldn't vote for him because he wanted to deport all Hispanics. Since she had voted twice for Bush, I figured that meant the media smear worked. It is a pity some folks vote their feelings instead of reading and thinking...
I saw Ann Coulter on with Brian Wilson...she was VERY subdued.
I don't know if she didn't feel well, or what...but, even though she called this election before anyone else..she didn't say "I told you so", so much as said that it was in the cards because of the history of 6th year elections.
Good job!
I have been watching and listening to McCain, not so much for what he says...but how he is talking.
He just seems weak, physically, to me....he seems to have a hard time talking longer than a sentence or two, without being rather breathless.
I am beginning to wonder if he physically will be able to handle the campaign..let alone the JOB of POTUS.
There we have it. The REAL power is not in us writing the papers or TV or Radio stations, but taking note on who advertises in these papers and on these programs that are most offensive (like Jack Cafferty on CNN) and start protesting to them enmass.
Nice idea, countering the media lies.
I know you don't watch TV...but, if nothing else, it would be worth it for Dennis Miller on Hannity and Colmes.
His subject this last week was waterboarding as torture.
It was both brilliant and very funny at the same time.
I hope it is on YouTube somewhere, I think you would enjoy it.
Not me.... they don't hesitate to criticize any of us and turning the other cheek, like Frist did time and time again in the Senate, only emboldened them to ramp it up. So being nice gave the Jersey Girls and Mother Sheehan what they wanted on Tuesday.
There is still a few Freepers (I'm not one) that believes he's a conservative.
I sure will save a lot of money on books! And I won't watch them on TV. I have gone to Food channel and am avoiding all news channels unless I see there is important breaking news which cannot be spun and won't have commentators.
About that "plurality" point..
Look for the Dems to try to change the rule that THEY have championed for all of these years in the Senate...that have required a 60 vote to invoke cloture and pass a bill.
If they stick with that...they will NOT get any of their agenda passed with only a 2 person majority.
Too many are blind to the ads lack of truthfulness on both sides. Case in point, was the ads Pederson ran against Kyl. They were full of blaming Kyl for things McCain has done than reflective of the real Kyl history. It infuriated me in the beginning and then I just tuned it out.
~LOL~ you went for food, I'm on decorating.. HGTV, gonna check into getting DYI, too... can't even take FOX except in small snippits right now.
No way they could ignore the President? What part of the world are you living in?
Thanks for that post about what William Hague is saying about the Iraq decisions.
I hope Tony doesn't wobble...and go with the crowd that wants to talk to Iran and Syria...because I know how much President Bush respects Tony's opinion..
And it would be the WORST decision Bush would make right now...to capitulate to those that want to talk to Iran and Syria. That would be elevating their terrorist leaders to a status they don't deserve, besides being a "WIN" for the other party...ugh
Mine is that he was buddies with communists... much like Horowitz in his youth. Got disenchanted for some reason or another... and became a simple rabble-rouser... a sawed-off hothead with no affiliations.
The difference between Weiner and Horowitz is that David knows American history... Weiner just tells you that he does.
I think we should stop conversing.
Insults get us nowhere.
Thanks.
