LONDON, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- A U.S. intelligence analyst is accusing rap artists in Britain of moving young Muslims toward extremism through lyrics about the Iraq war.
The Times of London reported Saturday that New York Police Department analyst Madeleine Gruen said the music of some groups is "very persuasive because it is giving young people ideas and those ideas are what might motivate someone to become a jihadi."

Odd how the media ran national stories on "white supremacist" rock and punk in the 1980s, 1990s, and even now (the 2 twin sisters) but doesn't examine Islamic Supremacist music.
And it was such music that led Johnny Walker down the path of the American Taliban. His transformation can be viewed through his forum posts.

Not odd, really. The US media just loves everything muslim, Palestinians, Hezbollah, Hamas, and all things jihadist - and slants every story their way.
You were expecting "fair and balanced"??

I don't see much difference between non-Islamic rappers and the homegrown, gangsta losers in the U.S. Neither type is a positive influence on those that listen to this crap.

Music ping for you, Hoplite!Ha! Rap is music? You could have fooled me. As the late Lou Rawls once said about rap, "I'm still waiting for the music part".

No idea what you are talking about....Of course not - you merely pinged some schlub who happened to spend a couple years here bragging about how he served in the Bosnian Serb military during the time frame it was engaged in hostilities with our military, only to reneg on those claims once a pertinent section of US Code was brought to his attention, completely at random.
Make you a deal - you don't ping me, I won't ping you.
