So I guess a third term is out of the question, huh?

Ain't that just like a bunch of Commie "media" 'RATS. As if winning the election wasn't enough, they still feel the need to continue kicking the President in the head. Screw the lowlife, Commie bass turds.

RONALD REAGAN AND HIS '6th YEAR' DEFEAT IN 1986

In 1986, Ronald Reagan and the GOP suffered HORRIBLE electoral losses:

8 SENATE SEATS
Moving the GOP from the majority (53-47 +6) to the minority (55-45 -10) . . . [At worst, GWB will face a 49-51 (-2) minority -- and that -2 will include a very GWB-leaning Independent!!]

5 CONGRESSIONAL SEATS
Giving the Democrats an even wider margin in the House
from a 253-182 (+71) majority to a 258-177 (+81) majority! . . . [It appears that GWB/the GOP will endure a much smaller (+30ishD) majority!]

Why did Reagan suffer such devastating losses in 1986?

Like President Bush, he just wasn't able to avoid the '6th' year hex! First there was Bork, then Reykjavik, then the election losses, then Iran-Contra, and then an historic 23-POINT DROP IN HIS JA RATING in just one month -- AND GUESS WHAT: THE UBER CONSERVATIVES DESERTED HIM IN DROVES [FYI: These are the same uber conservatives who today use a bastardized version of the Reagan legacy as a weapon with which to bash President Bush -- what a bunch of soul-less losers!] . . .

I'm off to watch the re-broadcast (C-Span) of today's Veterans Day Ceremony -- just in case you're wondering, the vets gave President Bush an ENTHUSIASTIC AND SUSTAINED STANDING OVATION both before and after his speech!

Wow, with only 31% popularity rate, it seems unlikely that he'll win the next Presidential election.

Heck, I bet he won't even run.

Bush Down In Polls: Only 31% Approve

With those kind of numbers I don't see how he can get reelected.

Bush's approval rating is important. In the case of Nixon, the left spent months driving his ratings down, so that they could get congressional support for impeachment.

The Democrats will not attempt impeachment if his ratings are too high- the backlash could hurt them.

But once he gets below a certain number, impeachment becomes a viable option.

"It's Bush's Fault" was not a joke on Fr, it was a campaign tactic.

Bush's bailing on house conservatives is now catching up with him. His failure to preserve men like Tom DeLay and the recent electoral debacle of stay home conservatives has created a lame duck presidency that nust jump through democrate hoops just to survive.

I hope Dubyah dights them tooth and nail. He needs DeLay on his staff, post haste.

I support Bush. I have since the start on the war against Islamic Excremists. I will continue as long as he keeps up the good work on that front and I believe he has and will. It was actually because of Bush that I voted straight ticket Republican for the first time in my life. I did vote for Reagan my first presidental election, but even then it wasn't Republican across the board.
