Google Ignores Veteran's Day

Google, which frequently celebrates minor holidays like Halloween with special changes to their trademark, today ignored Veteran's Day. They have noted Halloween, Google's 8th Anniversary, Persian New Year, Martin Luther King Day & the World Cup, among other holidays this year. Veteran's Day is meaningless to them.

You might not realize exactly how TRUE that is.
If you want to know what kind of people are behind Google, do the following:
1) Go to FEC.Gov (this is the Federal Election Commissions website)
2) On the left hand side of the screen, click 'Campaign Finance Reports and Data'
3) In the middle of the new screen, click 'Search the Disclosure Database' (We're going to search 'who contributed where')
4) In the new screen, click 'Individual Search'
5) In the 'Transaction Query by Individual Contributor' page, you'll see at the bottom "No Luck? Try an Advanced Search". Click on the 'Advanced Search' hyperlink.
6) In the new page, look for the 'Employer/Occupation' field, and enter 'Google' (no apostrophes). Leave all other fields blank. Click the 'Send Query' button.
7) Review the results and see for yourself.
It's not that 'Information is Power', rather it's 'Information CONTROL is Power'

There is a vets parade in NYC. Did any of the big three channels air it? No because it wasnt a St Pats parade, or a Puerto Rican Parade, or a Macys parade or a West Indian parade, or a Columbus Day parade.......God forbid they honor our vets

Someday people will realize that political correctness isn't just an coincidence.
The left is far more organized than most will ever realize.

Ya..I was hoping to see a cool logo on Election Day too, that's when I noticed something was amiss. Too bad.
To: PghBaldy
You sound surprised. They did the same thing last year. And as long as we conservatives support Google with our business, they will continue to do so.

Just took the spouse to the movies and not one house that we passed had the American flag out for Veteran's Day. Not one business was decorated either.

We all realize that today is Veterans day, but the official holiday is Monday. This might be the reason. Not making excuses, but......

People have soults, corporations don't. Google is in China big time, including doing work for the Chinese military. The Holocaust was administered in part using IBM systems and management services. The Germans kept very good records of the people they transported and gassed. It's a never-ending story. So Google if you wish (I do), but know whom you're dealing with. They project all the warmth of the SS Totenkopf Division.

Google is seriously p*ssing me off. From raw communist censorship in China, to harassment of Republican videos on its YouTube subsidiary.
Just a note...they havent closed that deal yet. It's supposed to happen sometime next month I believe.
As an aside, I couldnt blame those 3 guys for selling You Tube to Google. I mean, $1.6 billion for a site that you created a mere 1 1/2 years ago?!? Not a bad return...

What the heck is wrong with so-called Americans today?
But hey...they once celebrated Bastille Day.

I just returned from a class on real estate law. During a coffee break, a young man ( Early 30s ?) came up to me and asked about my license plate's meaning...TET1968. A young lady ( Early 30s) turned around and said" Yes, what does that stand for?"
Have you ever heard of the Tet Offensive ? I asked.
The young man replied no, respectfully. That's when the war really started in Vietnam? The young woman asked.
Did you know that today was Veterans Day?
The young man replied no, respectfully. "I did" answered the lady.
I then asked, Have you heard of the Battle Of The Bulge?
I think so he replied.
Well, it was sort of like that, only a different war.
When you get home Google Tet Offensive 1968, see what comes up.
I will he said, Now I'm really interested in finding out what this is about.
I went back into the class room feeling a tad disappointed.

I wonder what percentage of Google's customers are in America, vs. the rest of the world? That might have something to do with it.
