Intelligence agencies have been warned that al Qaeda may be planning to attack air and rail travel in Europe in actions that may occur during the busy holiday travel season, CBS News has learned exclusively.In separate interviews with Arab and other intelligence sources, CBS News has been told that the warnings come from interrogations of al Qaeda suspects who recently left Afghanistan and Pakistan.
"One suspect said plans for repeating the Heathrow attempt (a reference to the failed 'liquid bomb' plot interrupted in August) were all prepared. It is now a matter of taking action," said one Arab official who asked not to be named because he is not authorized to speak to the media. "Al Qaeda's strategy appears to be raising the pressure in Europe."
In a move that has been puzzling intelligence agencies, al Qaeda has been withdrawing well-trained Arab fighters from the mountains and battlefields of Afghanistan.

Pakistan is a far more logical target for the arab fighters being pulled from Afghanistan.
Musharref is weak and a Pakistani coup backed by al qaeda would give the islamists a ready-made nuclear arsenal.
MSM still can't garner the strength to call it what it is.

She said it was a "situation" to be "solved". Did you catch the scintillating interview that Couric did with Nancy? Question: "are you a woman first, or a democrat first?" Answer: "I'm a democrat first".
Personally, I'd have answered "I'm an
American first".

Depends on how the culprits got into the country. If it was through our open borders, then yeah, you betcha he will be blamed. WOT pffft.
I don't look for another direct attack on the USA until Bush is no longer president.
If a Democrat wins in 2008, the likelyhood for several attacks on the USA seem to me to be very high.
It's cool when anyone offers a prayer for me, but I do not fear death. I'm where I have to be, come what may, at least for now. After certain loved ones pass on or move away to safety, I'll stay loyal to their follies. After that, I may opt to go survivalist.
At any rate, I feel I have what is a ringside seat to the fall of Western Civilization. If that is so, then may I witness it.
