FREEPERS, it is time for PAYBACK! The ULTIMATE RINO must suffer the consequences of Tuesday!
vanity | November 10, 2006 | YDR

Posted on 11/10/2006 5:22:19 PM PST by You Dirty Rats

Since Tuesday almost all of us have been saddened and angered because we lost Congress to the 'Rats.

Why?

How did our united, magnificent victory in 2004 end up achieving so little and lead us to defeat in 2006?

There are many reasons, but tonight I focus on ONE.

IMHO the term "RINO" is overused. While looking at an ACU rating list I noticed only one Republican Senator with a score below 50 and below any 'Rat Senator - Chafee. I felt he was the only Senate RINO.

But there is another -- far, far worse. He had a lifetime rating of 80 -- yet he is the ULTIMATE RINO!!

Freepers, many of us have been upset the past two years. For some, it was Terry Schiavo. For others it was when Voinovich stabbed Bolton in the back late. For others it was the border issue.

But for me, and I suspect many others, there was another moment that ended our 2004 victory and began our 2006 defeat.

We all don't think alike and in 2004 we worked hard to re-elect GWB for different reasons. One reason I believe at least 95% of Freepers share -- JUDICIAL NOMINATIONS!!!

And here -- The President kept his word. His nominations, on current evidence, are better than any other President. Yes, he goofed on Miers -- but he corrected that error and it all worked out.

For YEARS, ever since Bork and Thomas were humiliated, we Conservatives waited and worked for victory. We reached 55 Senators and had the "nucular option" ready. We were all set to blow the 'Rats judicial obstruction to hell. I, like many Freepers, was on the Live Thread waiting for the moment when the 'Rats had to step aside or be blown to hell. Victory was at hand ...

... and then that grandstanding jackass whose bitterness at losing in 2000 ate away at him decided it was time to rain on our parade and form the infamous Gang of 14.

Freepers, isn't THAT the moment in the past two years when we threw away our victory? Isn't THAT when Republican turned against Republican and our unity died? Isn't that moment when our fate this Tuesday was sealed?

And WHO LED THIS???

MCCAIN!!!!

MCCAIN is the ULTIMATE RINO -- not because of his voting record, but because he stabbed the President, Bill Frist and all of us in the back!! It was horrible that the President and Frist caught flak from some conservatives on this when they were victims of McCain's Mutiny!!

AND NOW THAT DIRTY BACKSTABBING RINO WANTS TO BE THE REPUBLICAN NOMINEE IN 2008? HE DOESN'T HAVE THE DECENCY TO WAIT A FEW WEEKS AFTER TUESDAY??

Freepers, I urge all of you -- DO NOT SUPPORT THIS STINKING RINO!! He has wrecked our Party and should be shunned, not supported for President!!

The way I feel today, I might actually stay home if McCain faces Hillary -- because I can't support a candidate of our Party who turned on our Party like that.

MCCAIN, YOU DIRTY RAT!! YOU WILL NEVER GET OUR PARTY'S NOMINATION! DON'T GO AWAY MAD ... JUST GO AWAY!!!

McCain is going to announce his decision in December. He just shouldn't bother, IMHO !

Geez, some of the posts on this thread remind me of the hate and rage I saw on DU against some Dems after they lost in 2004.

It's hard to see your country hijacked in this way.

"Here is an Air Guardsman who admitted missing many drills and making only the bare minimum makeups required against a Navy"

He got approval for missing those drills before the drills happened and he did more than was required for the makeups. Stop posting these lies. Posting lies is part of the problem, not part of the solution.

"It's true that McCain joined with Feingold and Cochran (remember him, he's the conservative from Mississippi) that drafted CFR but Bush is the one who made it law."

And if Bush would have vetoed the bill, it would have been overridden in both houses and McCain would not have worked with the President on future legislation.

Here is an Air Guardsman who admitted missing many drills and making only the bare minimum makeups required against a Navy combat pilot who was shot down defending his country and ended up spending nearly 6 years in a POW camp.

Is that you Dan Rather?

It's hard to see your country hijacked in this way.

It was an election. Americans made a choice, like it or not.

Becoming angry, bitter and hateful toward other Republicans isn't going to prepare us for the battle ahead.

I really think the Dems are going to expose themselves for who they really are, and in the long run we will come out on top.

But what has he done to deserve anyone's vote for president? The only high profile legislation he has championed has been anti-consevative. He does not have anything on his resume as an executive of any type.

That's why no senator has been elected president in 44 years. Most American's see congress as part of the problem, not a breeding ground for problem solvers.

Out with the old broods...in with the youngbloods...
When a sports team gets aged and ineffective well it's time to rebuild. New, young, fresh true patriots to promote and restock the GOP with valiant warriors for the conservative cause. Out with McCain't, Schmagel Hagel and Goober Graham. Let's defeat them in the primaries if we have to.

BTW...where is that goofy Goober lately?

McCain was not the brain child of the gang of 14, it was Trent Lott. Bush had Trent Lott removed from the majority leader's job by havings such conservative columnists as Peggy Noonan and Novak trash him for trying to make a 100 year old dying man feel good. Go back and look at the papers ... it was several days after the conservative pundits for Bush started trashing Lott for bragging on Strom Thurman before the mainstream media picked it up. Even Tom Daschle defended Lott before he figured out what Bush was up to.

Bush wanted Frist to lead the senate so he got rid of Lott. Lott knew what bush was planning to do and had himself reelected to majority leader nearly two weeks before the normal date for him being reelected. Bush kept up the heat in the republican media until Lott had to resign as majority leader. Bush had Frist selected to be his successor in the white house and made him majority leader to hopefully get him a lot of positive publicity.

Lott just got relected in this election and Frist is out of the senate and replaced by a different Republican.

In fact the man who spoke to the gang of 14 and planned their strategy was Trent Lott. Trent entered McCains office where the gang of 14 met by the back door and spent a couple of hours telling the 14 how to play the game. Trent spoke to them before the gang of 14 went public.

Bush thought Frist could be the next Republican president. But he failed in his majority leader position not the least because Lott was in the back doing all he could to cause Frist to fail.

Bush forgot the first rule of management. Never fire a man from his management job and still keep him on in a reduced position. He will use all his management skill to destroy the man who replaced him and the man who had him fired.

The biggest mistake of the Bush administration was firing Trent Lott. It has cost Bush many bills that were never passed.

MCCAIN is the ULTIMATE RINO

You just figured this out??? Where you been?

I would crawl over broken glass NOT to vote for him

He is the only republican I would activity work against. That's how much I despise the man.

They're not lies...look up the damned record for proof. I happen to know a bit about the Guard and Reserve because I'm a retired Naval reservist. To have a "good year", a member is required to make 60 points--there 4 points for every weekend drill (48) plus 14 for the two week ACTDUTRA. That adds up to 62 points--they allow you to miss a full day of drill but, if you want to be promoted, you usually try to make in excess of 70 in that regard--Bush's record shows inconsistencies trying to do that click here ...regardless, he admitted he did not make all of his scheduled drills when he was working on an Alabama congressman's campaign. Now, I want to make myself clear, I am not criticizing him for the make ups; only that his military service seems to pale against what John McCain went through during the same period of time.

Yeah, his health is suspect. Look how thin he suddenly looks. You can't beat melanoma that easily.

Can someone share more about this? I didnt know McCain was fighting a serious illness. Is this true?

Besides being the lamest reason I've ever heard for a president to sign a law he doesn't like, it is the wrong answer...it takes a 2/3 majority to do it...not enough votes (because, as you're still seeing, the politians love to keep the money coming).

I feel your pain. The Dems definitely had an advantage I had hoped they would never get. The tantrum-ticket voters got what they deserved (a Democrat controlled House and Senate) but the Republican party as a whole didn't deserve it. It was the Republicans who took a stand, with President Bush as Commander in Chief, and have been fighting the WOT. In short, damn the Dems and every single American who helped them get into office and made every terrorist around the world shout with glee!

Amazing, isn't it, that some folks want to slit their wrists because there is not a 2008 candidate yet? Good grief, the dust hasn't even settled from Tuesday yet! Some folks are so impatient!
