Just days after his resignation, former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld is about to face more repercussions for his involvement in the troubled wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. New legal documents, to be filed next week with Germanys top prosecutor, will seek a criminal investigation and prosecution of Rumsfeld, along with Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, former CIA director George Tenet and other senior U.S. civilian and military officers, for their alleged roles in abuses committed at Iraqs Abu Ghraib prison and at the U.S. detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba...
... Lawyers for the plaintiffs say that one of the witnesses who will testify on their behalf is former Brig. Gen. Janis Karpinski, the one-time commander of all U.S. military prisons in Iraq. Karpinski who the lawyers say will be in Germany next week to publicly address her accusations in the case has issued a written statement to accompany the legal filing, which says, in part: It was clear the knowledge and responsibility [for what happened at Abu Ghraib] goes all the way to the top of the chain of command to the Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld ...
She got busted to Colonel. Did she get out? 'Cause if she didn't, she should be a prime candidate for a court martial.
Why lament what should have been done?
Recall her to temporary active duty, courts martial her ass, and send her to freaking Leavenworth. I'm guessing that although retired, she is still in some kind of status that still precludes her from TREASON. and please... nobody post that damn pic of her again.
Is this a JOKE? Who do those socialists think they are?
Ach du lieber!! Sounds like maybe it's high time we kick Germany's sorry socialist ass again.
What's the point? Any judgment against Rumsfeld wouldn't be enforceable in the US would it?
Thank you. That's about all that needs said about this story.
If she is retired... take away her pension. I suspect she is being paid by someone... wish we knew who.
"Traitorous bitch!
Women have no place in the military or the government. Their job as women is much too important to waste on men's business. I could continue on this subject and be flamed and ridiculed......suffice to say, women have an equally important role in life, as men do too, which I honor with all my heart.
FMCDH(BITS)
Another "Clinton General" shows her true colors?
Soros probably.
Daily dosers andd Canteen members this article I tell you about
Mmmmmmmm you could be right. Any ways we will hear most about this via MSM... of course..they will leave some details like that out.
We do need to take all of our military presence out of Germany anyway.
Let me guess... the trial will be held in Nuremberg, right?
1. She's doing this to get back at Rumsfeld for being punished for the crimes on her watch.
2. Women have no business in uniform. This is just more proof of that principle.
3. If the politically Koresht types don't like #2, good. I laugh at their indignation.
Yes. Just another Valerie Plame.
you can get a cup of starbucks for 3 bucks ?
No, she's not--the UCMJ applies only to active duty members--neither the military nor federal court systems have jurisdiction over her in this instance.
