Michael calls Rush Limbaugh a shill for the Republicans

And he is right, of course. This is something that Rush himself admitted to after the election, when he said he felt liberated that he no longer has to carry water for Republicans that don't deserve it.

What kind of moron could not figure that out *before* the election?

What kind of moron is President Bush for (a) pursuing alien amnesty when his base wanted strict limits and a FUNDED border wall; and (b)refusing to fire Rumsfeld months before the election, and denying the RATs of their ONLY issue.

How come Bush couldn't figure those out *before* the election and keep both Houses of Congress?

Thanks a lot, Michael, for sitting on your hands and doing nothing when it counted most to help stop illegal immigration.

How could any Republican credibly convince voters they would pursue a tough borders policy when every American knows the TOP Republican--President Bush--is an open borders maniac?

Bush's disgraceful stand on immigration was a hell of a lot more damaging than anything Mike Savage ever did or said. I love how you BushBots blame everyone but the idiots who lost Congress--Bush, Rove, Rumsfeld, and the pussies in the Pentagon, who couldn't wipe MacArthur's ass.

Michael calls Rush Limbaugh a shill for the Republicans, but Rush figured out

Hmm, then why did Limbaugh give his infamous "water carrier" speech the day after the election? A speech which could have well been titled "Michael Savage was Right".

Dream on. Every single thing Savage has been warning about for 2 years has come to pass. A brain-dead arrogant, corrupt Republican establishment, led by Bush, led us to this stunning and devastating electoral defeat. Wrong on immigration, waging the Iraq war like the ACLU was in charge, spending like drunken sailors, supporting RINOs like Specter and Chafee over true Conservatives--the GOP threw this election down the toilet on its own.

I tune into Savage for about 10 minutes each day to find out which of his personalities showed up.

He has become some kind of deranged, angry clown.

I saw him as a shill for his own ego, a long time ago - not only as a shill but very self-presumptive about his subjective opinions. And he thinks Limbaugh is a shill...for the Republicans - I don't think so -what he can't stand about Limbaugh is that Rush has or does the research before he opens mouth whereas "Savage" inserts shoe mucho often.

He, in fairness, said he was voting Republican after John Kerry's latest gaffe; he couldn't see how anyone else could vote Democrat. And his infamous "maybe we'll get real Republican leadership after we lose Congress" rant seems to be coming true. This past election will be the catalyst that will embolden House Republicans(I don't hold as much hope for the Republican't Senators) to step up and make an attempt to wrest the party from the limp-wrists in charge now. There is already talk on other radio programs, and I am sure there are rumblings in Washington. If you don't like him, fine. If you want to post this vanity in the wrong section of the website to get your frustration off your chest, that's OK, too. Just remember each of these talk hosts have their place, as entertainment and education. Take as much of both as you wish from all of them...but don't discount all of their message when you find something for which you find disagreement.

To show off his "independence," he refused to endorse Republicans. Fantastic, Michael! Then the day after the election it finally occurred to him that a Democratic Congress is now empowered to work with Bush on his amnesty program for illegal immigrants!

''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

Savage is not the only "moron" who did not figure this out prior to the election. I am reading many comments on Free Republic, rejoicing in the lesson that the republicans have been taught, saying they got what they deserved.

I believe that Savage is solely and uniquely an opportunist. He has the means to offer a specific 'product' to the market and his timing is very good.

It's all about the $ IMHO.

Savage is right. Liberalism is a dangerous mental disease. Its clear you have not been listening. Savage has a better grasp on reality, including his accurate assessment of just how much the G.O.P is in disarray. He is an irreplaceable and invaluable true conservative and a social scientist who is without peer. Rush has become a liability to the conservative cause. Rush is a mouthpiece for a lost and confused political think tank while Savage is an intellectual who has a vast and stunning understanding of geopolitics both modern and historic which makes Rush look like a nascent boob. Rush has become by his own admission a "water carrier" for a party that has lost its way. If the G.O.P. continues to play politics over principle they will continue to lose. The demonicrats will always be better politicians as the nature of evil Machiavellian politics is in their DNA. I recommend you give Mr. Savage a closer listen, he is in a class of his own. He thinks, Rush repeats. I'll side with the free thinker every time.

Not a huge fan of Savage, or Rush for that matte,r but one hute problem with this articles critique...

Rush openly admitted to shilling for the Republicans the day after the elections.. perhaps if he had not, and had called them to the carpet prior to the elections, instead of carrying water for them, they might have done something to win.

I agree. A couple weeks listening to Wiener Nation and you realize he's on "repeat".

His schtick got old.
