Michael Savage gets a lesson in politics 101
Posted on 11/10/2006 3:00:44 PM PST by RussP
I actually liked Michael Savage at one time, but now I am embarrassed for him every time I hear him (which is not often). The guy has become a clueless loon.
To show off his "independence," he refused to endorse Republicans. Fantastic, Michael! Then the day after the election it finally occurred to him that a Democratic Congress is now empowered to work with Bush on his amnesty program for illegal immigrants!
What kind of moron could not figure that out *before* the election?
Thanks a lot, Michael, for sitting on your hands and doing nothing when it counted most to help stop illegal immigration. You're a true patriot, but not a very bright one!
Michael calls Rush Limbaugh a shill for the Republicans, but Rush figured out *before* the election that (1) Bush is not on the ballot, and (2) if the Republicans don't win Congress, the Democrats will. In other words, Rush passed politics 101 a long time ago, but Michael never did.
I happened to be listening yesterday when a caller tried to point this out to him. How did Michael reply? He couldn't argue rationally, so he resorted to his usual 3rd-grade-level name calling and telling the guy to change his underwear. I kid you not.
Ironically, Michael wrote a book calling liberalism a mental illness, but Michael clearly has a mental illness of his own. He has become some kind of deranged, angry clown.

"Yesterday he thrashed Pelosi 90% of the time. She's not GOP." Maybe I heard the other 10%, because he trashed Rush when he took a call from another gullible kool-aid drinking Weiner-bot who couldn't get a question in.
He then told everyone something completely new, that he has a PHD. I did not know that. Did you know about John Kerry and Vietnam too?
Weiner also said that he will be the only Talk show host in about 2 years.
Did you hear that?
I guess when the Fairness Doctrine kicks in, that is when he will spring it on everyone that he is a MoveOn.org troll.

ok, just call me some names, that will help.
Aww you don't like the Savage treatment? too damned bad. At least you didn't come up with any new words in that first sentence.
ok, maybe cheerleaded wasn't a word, but the meaning is clear.
LMAO. No the meaning is NOT clear, the word doesn't exist. Next sentence....
savage wouldn't have turned the election had he done more cheerleading (better?) for the GOP before the election.
Nope. I guess you're right. He's too IRRELEVANT to do much harm or good. Way to open that door LOL
Cheerleaded!!! LOLLOLOLOLOLOLOL

I agree that Savage can be entertaining at times. But then he inevitably makes a complete ass of himself, completely negating any positive influence he could have had.

You are making two faulty assumptions regarding Savage. First, that he remembers yesterday. And second, that he thinks about tomorrow.Brilliant! That is exactly right. I've been trying to figure out what's wrong with Savage for a while, and you've nailed it for me.

"Not here in Ohio where we lost a GOP senator, but keep on dreaming..."
Wasn't DeWine part of MCcain's pack of moderates? That's probably why he lost.
"Keep echoing those MSM talking points boy..."
Learn to read, it helps the brain.
http://www.thehill.com/thehill/export/TheHill/News/Frontpage/110906/rumsfeld2.html
"The GOP got it's ass kicked because it didn't have a coherent message until 2 weeks before the election to combat the lies the MSM was spreading. It got it's ass kicked because a lot of their members had gigantic albatross' around their necks from scandals. It lost because they had gotten cocky and forgot that when you lose power, you'll do anything to get it back."
Yet so few hosts criticized the GOP.
"Rumsfeld was a convienent scapegoat for the excuse makers. Yes that includes you."
You're right. Rummy launched an an incredible military operation. He listened to the generals and prepared for an insurgency. He was just a scapegoat. No blame goes to him.

That about sums him up. I gave up listening to him a while ago. Same here...I wish that KPRC in Houston would put Mark Levin on in Savage's wasted slot....

Wait till the Dems bring back the Fairness Doctrine. Mike's will be the first show dropped.
Obviously you weren't listening a few nights before the election when he said he was meeting some liberal lawyer to represent him when the Democrats pass the Fairness Doctrine. He no doubt believes his campaign contribution to former Gov. MoonBeam will prove how balanced he is and save his livelihood! He and Beck are two of the sorriest excuses I've ever heard for pseudo-conservatives.

Savage and his listeners to know how much power you think he has.
Can we please try for sentences that actually make SENSE? LOL
The fact that a whole thread has been dedicated to Savage bashing.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww....I'll call the WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH bulance for you...
Savage does not set policy. He give his opinion on policy.
And Thank God for that. Otherwise we'd be awash in massive federal subsidies for HERBAL REMEDIES!!
Maybe the GOP should have secured the borders, cut the out of control spending, policed the curruption. Thought a little more about nominating Harriet Miers and the Dubia Ports Deal.
None of which was an issue in THIS election cycle. Stay on target would you please?
Maybe if the Bush Justice department has punihed the law breaking Clintonista's like Sandy Burglar instead of siccing the dogs on Curt Weldon, 3 weeks before the election... we would all be celebrating.
That's it, it's all Bush's fault!! Damn are we on DU here???
Although I'm sure he would be flattered, he does not have the power you seem to give him.
I know he doesn't. Truly he's irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. Thankfully the 99% that used to be his audience with a brain has left him.
