PLANO, Texas -- A Plano mother who drowned her two children in 2003 is free to restart her life.
Lisa Diaz is home with her relatives, just three years after killing her two young daughters.
In September 2003, Diaz drowned the sisters, 3 and 6 years old. She told police voices told her to kill them and she was found not guilty by reason of insanity.
Doctors said Diaz had recovered enough to be sent home, and a judge ordered her set free.
Collin County prosecutors released this statement: "Given Ms. Diaz apparent swift recovery, Judge Rusch had no choice but to release her. Today's decision underscores the need to reform the insanity defense so that intentional killers are held accountable.”
Diaz and her husband divorced while she was in the mental hospital.
THIS is the value our society has placed on our children, both the unborn and born. Had she just butchered them upon delivery, no charges at all. At least she got some kind of punishment. THAT is what shocked me most actually.

Yates will be out before long. The medical professionals are in the business of "curing". They will "cure" this woman, soon enough.

Last I looked it was Eve who fell first yet Adam takes the blame.
I read this as maybe they can cure the dead girls using embryonic stem cells... and, for a second, could imagine the Dems claiming as much!
I was talking about curing the "insane" murderer. But heck, embryos ARE supposed to cure everything, so I can see how you had a different interpretation.

Boy... there sure is a lot of (uninformed I fear) judgmental talk going on with this. There IS such a thing as being insane and if you look into this case you will probably agree that she was indeed, insane.... big time.
Personally I think it appears (not passing judgment... wasn't a juror and am not GOD) that the case was handled properly. Those kids are with Jesus... and that mother is well enough to realize what she had done and now she has to live with that for a long time perhaps.
Jesus didn't scold people for having evil spirits... he just helped them and told them to sin no more. I think (myself included because I am very judgmental at times too) we can all learn a lot from Jesus AND this situation.

We'll make a note of how non judgemental you are so that when the woman kills again we'll know that you won't be judging her.
I don't give a rat's tail whether she heard voices in her head. She should have told them to shut up. And if she didn't want her children, she should have found another home for them, or told someone who could help.
This is a perfect example of how so much that is called "justice" is the farthest thing from real justice you can possibly imagine.

I remember an article by a prominent feminazi columnist about Susan Smith practically excusing her for her murder. The left likes this sort of thing, as a logical extension of abortion.
The left doesn't want ANYONE in prison! They want to release all who are already in prison!
She's spending A WEEK with her mother, and then will find her own apartment. Well. That's a plan, isn't it?
