How cute...
I'm sure glad we'll have Poloci and Reid and Murtha, and Kennedy, and Kerry, and McGovern and all running the show to put an end to stuff like that...

"That ('under God') part is sort of offensive to me," student trustee Jason Bell, who proposed the ban, told Reuters. "I am an atheist and a socialist, and if you know your history, you know that 'under God' was inserted during the McCarthy era and was directly designed to destroy my ideology."
There's your future America. Be proud.

Why do these students want to offend me so much? Did I do something to them?

This is exactly the kind of attitude that will allow terrorists to operate freely in the U.S.

The one thing I hated most about college was watching the feckless and moronic student politicians wasting all those student fees I was forced to pay. I've never seen a bigger bunch of self-important dolts in my life.
Sure, there's no reason for them to swear allegiance and there's also no reason for me to stop and help them when they're being mugged by those "disadvantaged" people they love so much.

Stop all tax payer money from going to this school. Stop all student loans. They are racist and anti-American and the American tax payer is paying for their racist attitude.

"America is the one thing I'm passionate about and I can't let them take that away from me," 18-year-old political science major Christine Zoldos told Reuters. They can't take America and Patriotism away from you Christine, but you can take your tuition money away from them and go elsewhere.

More free-floating mines. The Ds won't be able to get a rowboat between them.

"If their personal belief is that they don't want to say the Pledge of Allegiance, the district certainly isn't going to dictate what they do," [Parham] said. Unless some students wished to form a College Republican group. Then I suppose the district would have to step in.
To: FreedomNeocon
So, in order to prevent someone from being offended, it is ok by these assholes to offend many others by banning the Pledge. If you don't like the Pledge just don't say it. So I guess now if you WANT to say it you can't. How very tolerant of these ninnies.

Student leaders at a California college have touched off a furor by banning the Pledge of Allegiance at their meetings, saying they see no reason to publicly swear loyalty to God and the U.S. government. Make them pay the full cost of their education, rather than the typical 1/4 to 1/3 that tuition covers at state and community colleges. Then they might see a reason.

It's terrifying what's happening on College campuses these days. Based on the voting numbers from 2006, it would appear that this next generation is starting to look an awful lot like the crowd from the late 1960's and early 1970's. And as well all very well know, that generation has very nearly destroyed this nation.
