I am so glad I do not live near Washington. I also hope that Dubya will spend a little extra time at the western white house. I may not agree with him on everything, but I don't want him in danger either.

If they happen to succeed with this horrible threat, I'd rather the white house be filled with democrats.

I'd thought they were probably going to send some suicide bombers into Capitol Hill restaurants in February as a symbolic attack on Congress ~ go to the right place at the right time of day and you could probably change the name of the majority party in the House; little chancier with the Senate because of the various ways empty seats are filled.

Arabic cultures and Islamic arabic cultures in particular are oriented toward continuous fighting against rivals. They will only back off when faced with overwhelming odds. Often that means a call for a "hudna" to regroup and rebuild for a future attack. Any sign of weakness encourages them to press forward for conquest...especially the ones with Islamic motivated aims for world domination.

The Democrats have been calling for a "cut and run" approach for a long time. Electing the Democrats is a sign that the American public has accepted the "cut and run" approach. The Islamic extremists see this as a victory.
