National Groups to Announce Movement for Impeachment

On Saturday, November 11, at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, just across from Independence Hall, where the U.S. Constitution was written and signed, a coalition of national organizations will announce plans to mobilize a movement to impeach President Bush and Vice President Cheney. The mobilization will be called ImpeachForChange.

Speakers will include Elizabeth Holtzman, former Member of Congress, served on the House panel that voted to impeach President Nixon, and author of "The Impeachment of George W. Bush: A Practical Guide for Concerned Citizens"; Cindy Sheehan, Co-Founder of Gold Star Families for Peace; David Swanson, Co-Founder of AfterDowningStreet.org and Washington Director of Democrats.com; Tim Carpenter, Director of Progressive Democrats of America; Jodie Evans, Co-Founder of CODE PINK Women for Peace; Bill Perry, Veterans for Peace; and Bob Fertik, President of Democrats.com and ImpeachPAC.org. Representatives of other participating organizations will be present. Participating organization include the National Organization for Women, the Hip Hop Caucus, Constitution Summer, and many of the 200 plus organizations in the After Downing Street Coalition.

The speakers will be followed by a discussion of impeachment by prominent bloggers, including Sally Hemings (Sally Hemings in Paris), Rob Kall (OpEdNews.com), Dave Lindorff (ThisCantBeHappening.net), Martin Longman (BoomanTribune.com), Susie Madrik (Suburban Guerilla), Liza Sabater (Culture Kitchen), Glen Ford (Black Agenda Report), and Bob Fertik (Democrats.com).

I beg to differ. Conyers has spent the last year or more laying the groundwork for impeachment but has suddenly and inexplicably backed down. This can only have happened because the Clintons contacted him and forced him to do so. The DemonRats, following a carefully designed Clintonoid script ran fake "conservatives" across the country to scam the voters and succeeded. Hillary scrupulously appears as a moderate wherever she is. The Clintons' whole idea is to hide the Marxist nature of the party and Hillary until she and they win the 2008 election. Then it will be, "Katie bar the door."

An impeachment circus right now will defeat this whole strategy by exposing the DemonRats and Clintons for what they are. Even worse, from their standpoint, if Bush and Cheney were removed, Pelosi would become President. Cindy Sheehan and the moonbats are just going to have to take it when they're thrown under the wagon.

For the next couple of years, I hope the Dems show off their most liberal side for all the disgusted, stay at home voters to see. 2008 will be a much easier time for true conservative candidates when the voters see the contrast between an actual Reagan-esque conservative and a flamboyant lib. IMO, if the VP needs to be replaced (unlikely) and the Dims in the Senate threaten a filibuster, they will lose their majority pretty quickly. It would be seen by most Americans as a blatant attempt to move Bela Pelosi up a notch in the replace-the-President sweepstakes.

Pelosi and Conyers will claim they didn't want to impeach, it was the pressure from "the will of the American people" and they had to go along.

THis is wonderful news. Pelosi and Conyers have both stated that Impeachment is not even on the table at the moment.

They are moonbats, but they are not entirely stupid. They know that an impeachment attempt will be seen as nothing but retribution for Billy-Jeff and will be a total PR disaster with the Mushy Middle that just put them in power. They are also bacjking off the Pullout of Iraq immediately talk too.
